Sani Udiyar

Sani Udiyar is a small town in Bageshwar District of Uttaranchal. It is situated on the state highway connecting Bageshwar to Berinag in Pithoragarh District. Some of the nearby cities and villages are Kanda, Tharap, Syakot, and Chaunra.
The major tourist attractions around Sani Udiyar include Sundardunga Glacier, Gauri Udiyar Temple and Shri Haru Temple.

By road, Sani Udiyar is well connected to Bageshwar. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area. Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.

Bog Udiyar

 


Bog Udiyar is a beautiful village in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is situated midway between Munsiyari and Laspa. Paton, Lilam, Rargari Udiyar and Poting are places nearby.
The River Gori flows very close to this village. Nanda Devi Peak, the highest peak among the Garhwal Himalayas, is easily accessible from here.

Tanakpur Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest access points.

Vyasa Cave

Vyasa Cave is situated on a mountain near Kalapani in Pithoragarh District. It is located at an altitude of 3,600 m. Legends say that Veda Vyasa had stayed here. This region is also known as Byans. Kalapani Spring, Kali Temple, Gunji and Budhi are the nearby attractions. It is surrounded by pine and juniper forests. The place provides an enchanting view of the snow clad mountains all around. Rock climbing equipments are required to reach here. Para gliding, hand gliding and trekking are arranged by the Department of Tourism, Uttaranchal.
Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airport. The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam.

Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple  & A cave temple


Located next to a scenic seasonal river is the famous cave temple of Tapkeshwar Mahadev, dedicated to the Indian God Shiva. Water drips from the rock above the Shivalinga and down over the lingam (deity) in this temple - this process inspiring its name. No entry fee, no crowds, no shops - this is a personal and moving experience. The personal makes way for the equally worthwhile communal experience, though, during the Shivratri festival, a huge fair that's held nearby and which attracts people from all over India.Tourists attractions nearby: Robbers' Cave: A very popular picnic spot - legend has it that robbers used to seek refuge after their escape.

A CAVE IN PANDKHOLI

Dronagiri is 52 km from Ranikhet lies the 1100 century old Dronagiri Temple. It is said that during battle between Rama and Ravana, when Laxman got hurt with the Arrow of Meghnadh, Hanuman went to obtain Sanjiwani Buti from Himalayas. On his way back, a part of Sanjiwani Buti fell at the place called Dronagiri. Five kilometres away from Dronagiri is the famous cave of Pandavkholi where it is believed that Pandavas stayed during their exile
