It finally came true - my dream reach this glacial lake situated at an altitude of 4,800 m in the Garwal Himalayas. Supposedly Shiva's contribution to Bhaghirathi, the river Kedar Ganga originates from here. Surrounded by majestic peaks of Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth etc. this heavenly lake is normally seen as an emerald colour reflection lake. On a normal clear day, the lake mirrors the majestic peaks surrounding it. But what we saw probably wasn't seen by many - a completely frozen Kedar Taal...While my desire to see grand Thalay Sagar's reflection ion the still water of the Taal wasn't fulfilled, what I got to see wasn't a common sight in the middle of summer - a completely frozen Kedar Taal! Let me make an attempt to take you to the majestic Taal through my lens. We started our trek at Gangotri with blessings from Ganga Maa.. Tilak Soni
