Raj- Rajeshwari Dewalgarh

A 16th century famous temple of Raj- Rajeshwari (Durga) built in a two storied form is at Dewalgarh. The temple today is partially ruined but is of great importance. Kangda King Dewal established Dewalgarh in 14th century. Deity of Satyanarayan, Bhairav and Stone written document (inscriptions) of Panwar rulers Ajaypal and Manshah are also here. A fair is held every year in the month of April in Dewalgarh. It is 17km away from Srinagar on Bughani- Srinagar road. However 9 km long trek still exist.

Dhari Devi Temple

The temple dedicated to goddess Kali is a much worshiped Goddess of the region. People are of the opinion that the stone carved deity changes face of a girl, woman, and of old lady as the day progresses. A mythological account says that once a severe flood washed away a temple and Dhari Devi's idol was trapped against a rock near the village Dharo. Villagers heard the wail of the idol and a devine voice directed them to install the idol there.

Every year on the occasion of Navratras special worship is offered to Goddess Kaliasaur. People from far & near visit this sacred haunt in great number to get the blessings of Goddess Kali. An ancient cave is also present near the temple. The temple is 15km from Srinagar on Delhi- Niti National Highway 55 leading to Badrinath. A 1km-cement pathway leads one to the temple on the bank of river Alaknanda.

देवलीबगड़: अवैध खनन पर जल्द रोक लगे

कर्णप्रयाग के पास स्थित देवलीबगड़ में निवास कर रहे अनुसूचित जाति व जनजाति के लोगों ने क्षेत्र में अवैध खनन रोकने की मांग प्रशासन से की है।

इस संबंध में डीएफओ बद्रीनाथ को दिए ज्ञापन में ग्रामीणों ने बताया है कि देवलीबगड़ गांव में लगभग 150 परिवार अनुसूचित जाति एवं जनजाति के निवास कर रहे हैं। यह गांव अलकनंदा नदी के किनारे बसा हुआ है। गांव के पूर्वी छोर से भेल गाड़ नाला बहता है। बताया गया है कि बरसात के दिनों में दोनों नदियों के चलते गांव पर खतरा मंडराता है। इसके चलते गांव को खतरे से बचाने के लिए भूमि संरक्षण विभाग द्वारा पूर्व में चैक डैम बनाए जा चुके हैं। सुरक्षा की दृष्टि को ध्यान में रखते हुए ग्रामीणों के प्रयास से बाकी बची हुई भूमि में वन विभाग के सहयोग से पौधारोपण भी किया गया है। इसमें आयुर्वेदिक औषधि के उपयोगार्थ पौधे आंवला, हरड़, बहेड़ा आदि पौधे रोपे गए थे। बताया गया है कि क्षेत्र के कुछ प्रभावशाली भू-माफियाओं ने प्लान्टेशन की दीवार को तोड़कर खनन कर रहे हैं। इससे कई कीमती पौधे नष्ट हो गए हैं। उन्होंने बताया है कि खनन के बाद पूरे गांव तथा राउमावि राप्रावि देवलीबगड़ को भविष्य में खतरा होने की पूरी संभावना है। ग्रामीणों ने कहा है कि प्रशासन ने समय रहते उचित निर्णय नहीं लिया तो ग्रामवासी आन्दोलन करने के लिए मजबूर होंगे। ज्ञापन में कमला देवी, ऊषा देवी, लक्ष्मी देवी, शेर सिंह आदि के हस्ताक्षर शामिल थे।
