Hadiyari

Hadiari is located in the southern part of Uttarkashi District in Uttaranchal. It lies near the district’s border with Tehri Garhwal District.
It is around 32 km south of Uttarkashi, the district headquarters. Bhagirathi River has its course through the area.

The nearest railway station and airport are at Dehradun.

Banbasa

Banbasa is a rural area, which lies at the border of Champawat District in Uttaranchal. Champawat is the nearest major town. Tanakpur, Dhura and Sukhithang are the neighboring places. By road, Banbasa is well connected with Champawat. Tanakpur Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area.

Chhira

Chhira is a beautiful hamlet in Champawat District of Uttaranchal. The village lies off the state highway connecting Loharghat and Rameshwar, and is known to be a pleasant location. Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple and Nagnath Temple are the major tourist attractions accessible from here. Champawat is the nearest major town, which is also the district headquarters. Tanakpur Railway Station is the nearest railway station. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area.

Bhujan is located in Almora District of Uttaranchal. It is around 25 km south-east of Ranikhet and around 20 km south-west of Almora.

Dhaula Devi

Dhaula Devi is a small settlement, which lies near Chakauli in Almora District of Uttaranchal. Almora is the nearest major town.
Kheti, Bhulyura, Nangarkhan, Duram, Dania and Dhayri are the nearest places. The state highway connecting Panuwanaula and Dhyari passes nearby.

Dhaula Devi is well connected by road with Almora. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area. Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest major railhead.

jo log uttaranchal se bahar reh kar pale-badhe hain, unke liye ye jaankari badi acchi hai..
ummeed karti hoon aap log prati-diwas kuch naya lekar aate rahenge aur aaj ki nai pidhi mein ye gyan baante rahenge.

Narendra Nagar

 


The erstwhile capital of the Tehri Garhwal kings, Narendra Nagar is 15 km north of Rishikesh. This historical town is located in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal and was a witness to many events in history, which has left its mark on the town. The town was built by King Tehri Narendra Singh and it takes its name after him.
The Royal Palace, closed to the public, is a quite pretty sight here. The resort and spa, called Ananda In The Himalayas, is a major draw. This structure was made in 1905 by Lord Irving. Nothing has changed of that era and the furniture and books all remain the same.

The place also offers magnificent views of Rishikesh and the plains of Haridwar. The sun set view from Narendra Nagar is another intersting aspect.

Nearest airport is at Dehradun (42 km). Rishikesh Railway Station is the nearest railhead.

Muni-Ki-Reti

Muni-Ki-Reti is a sacred place in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. It lies very close to Rishikesh near the banks of the holy River Ganges. Lakshman Jhula, a 450 ft long suspension iron bridge over the Ganges, is easily accessible from here. The place is famous for the Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas. Muni-Ki-Reti can be accessed by local buses and taxies from Rishikesh. Rishikesh Railway Station serves this area. Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport.

Paunthi

A beautiful hamlet, Paunthi lies at the border of Rudraprayag District, Uttaranchal. Like most other villages in Uttaranchal, Paunthi is also characterised by a mountainous terrain and pretty landscape. Some of the nearby places are Khalyan, Jakholi, Kurchhola, Jakhni and Jakhal.
Mandakini River, an important tributary of the River Ganges, flows close to this village. The nearest major town is Rudraprayag. The temples of Rudranath and Chamunda Devi Temple can be visited.

Rishikesh Railway Station and Jolly Grant Airport are the nearest access points
