Kuwa is a scenic village situated 12 km from Damta in Pauri Garhwal District. It lies along the Nag Tibba trek route. Yamuna River flows close by. Kuwa is covered with thick deodar forests. It offers a picturesque walk with views of the Himalayan range. Nearby interesting places to visit are Kempty Falls, Dhanaulti, Barkot (45 km), Lakha Mandal Temple, Nainbagh and Morina Dhar. It is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Dehradun.

Laldhang

Laldhang lies about 27 km from Kotdwar, in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. The place is famous for an ancient Shiva temple situated in the main market. The temple is noted for a 9th century image of ‘Panchyatan Shivling’, which was brought from Panduwala. The Shivling is surrounded by the images of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Surya and Uma-Mahesh.
Panduwala is a famous archeological site situated just 2 km from Laldhang.

Satpuli

Satpuli is a village near Pauri on Pauri- Kotdwar Road in Pauri Garhwal District, Uttaranchal, on the banks of Nayyar River. It is an ideal spot for angling and swimming. For lodging, a number of government and private units are available. Located 17 km from Satpuli is the famous Shaktipitha of Goddess Durga, the temple of Jwalpa Devi.

Lamgara

 


Lamgara is a small town in Almora District, Uttaranchal. It is situated on the State Highway connecting Paudhar and Devidhura. Almora is the nearest major town. Some of the nearby villages are Paudhar, Duram, Bodyar, Sunari, Shaharphatak, Kapleshwar and Jalna.
Lamgara is well connected

Dharchula

Dharchula, on the banks of the River Kali, is almost 100 km from Pithoragarh. At an elevation of 915 m, Dharchula is an important camp along the Kailash- Mansarovar, Chhota Kailash and Narayan Ashram route. Dharchula is famous for its wool and woolen products.
The nearest airport to Dharchula is Naini Saini, about 96 kms from Pithoragarh and the nearest railhead is Tanakpur, 247 kms from Pithoragarh. The easiest acess is through road as Dharchula is well linked to the state highway.

Jumma in Pithoragarh District

A scenic village, Jumma is in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It lies close to Dharchula and is easily accessible from there. The trekking route connecting Dharchula and Kailash passes nearby. The major towns, which are easily accessible from Jumma are Dharchula and Didihat.

Khela in Pithoragarh Distr

Khela is a beautiful hamlet in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal, around 12 km from Dharchula.
The trekking route connecting Dharchula and Kailash passes nearby. The neighboring places are Sirkha, Jibti, Tawa Ghat, Jumma and Tijam. The Kali River flows very close to this village.
