Wild life sanctuaries are the major attractions for tourists and pilgrims visiting Uttaranchal. At present, the following sanctuaries are being maintained and are under development. Name of Sanctuary Area in sq km

5. Kedarnath Sanctuary (Distt. Chamoli) (altitude: 967 sq km)
