Sachin Tendulkar back to Pavilion after holiday in Mussoorie - December 27, 2008
===================================================

MUSSOORIE, 1 Jan: Sachin Tendulkar and his family, after staying here for nearly a week, left for Mumbai as the winter vacations of the children, Arjun and Sara, have ended. This was the second visit of Sachin Tendulkar to the hill town.

For nearly five days, he was the talk of the town and the fans considered themselves lucky after meeting the stalwart. While he was in Mussoorie, the rumours were ripe about his permanently settling here, and tha he was looking for a home in the “Queen of the Hills”.
But these were refuted by in a conversation with Garhwal Post. He said that presently his main focus was cricket and he was concentrating on the New Zealand tour in March, therefore the question of searching for home or a commercial establishment, here, did not arise. He further said that he had come to meet close friend Sanjay in Mussoorie and for a subdued New Year’s celebration.
However, eyewitnesses confirmed that some property dealers seen visiting the area where he was staying, thus providing some grist to the mill. He was the most sought after person by the fans and media, alike, to the point of becoming ludicrous.
He also said that he thoroughly enjoyed his stay in Mussoorie. He wished the nation the very best for the New Year and prayed for the good health of all. He also said that the Indian Cricket team would definitely strive for the number one position in the world. He also said that, time permitting, he would visit Mussoorie again. He left Mussoorie at 12 noon along with other guests. He left for Mumbai from Jolly Grant Airport, sources claimed.
The residents of Mussoorie are clear that they will welcome any move on Sachin Tendulkar’s part to become a citizen of Mussoorie.

Children play cricket with Arjun Tendulkar in Mussoorie

MUSSOORIE, 28 Dec: Sachin Tendulkar and his family today took a day off at the Woodstock Quadrangle to play cricket with the local children. Arjun Tendulkar, son of the maestro, is a left hander and he enjoyed the game of cricket with the local children from the area.
As Sachin emerged from the house of his friend Sanjay Narang, the crowd was already waiting since early morning to get a glimpse and take photographs. Himani, Payal, Ananya and Shrey said that they had been waiting since 7 a.m. for Sachin. Himani, who works in HCL, said she was hooked on Sachin since she was 5 years of age. She recalled the first test match played by Sachin in Pakistan and has kept a scrap book of Sachin with a cutting of his first advertisement and other pictures. She has been collecting the pictures of Sachin for a long time and said that her wish to see him had, at last, come true.
Aman Rehman, the Guinness record holder for youngest animator in the world in 2006, also visited Sachin and played cricket with his son. Aman Rehman, student of St Thomas’ College also presented an animation of Sachin to Tendulkar, who was impressed by this child prodigy. Aman Rehman has received awards from the Chief Minister and the President of India for his work, said Kriti Sharma, CEO of a software development company in Doon. He added that Aman and Arjun got along well and exchanged their views on subjects apart from cricket. Sachin wished Rehman success in his future endeavours.
