Mornaula

Mornaula is a hilly village in Almora District of Uttaranchal. It lies on the border of Almora and Nainital districts. The village, with its numerous trekking and hiking trails, is a favorite haunt for adventure enthusiasts. Some of the nearby villages are Shaharphatak, Sunari and Bodyar.
Mornaula is easily accessible from Almora. Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airport. Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest railhead.

Kakarighat

Kakarighat is located in Almora District of Uttaranchal. Almora, the district headquarters, is around 20 km north-east.
Ranikhet, a hill station filled with oak and pine trees, is around 30 km north-west. River Kosi flows nearby.

Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest railway station. Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airport

Nathuakhan

Nathuakhan is a beautiful hamlet in Nainital District of Uttaranchal. It lies at an altitude of 6365 ft above sea level and is an ideal place for trekking. The place is around 30 km from Bhowali and 40 km from Nainital.
With its scenic places and calm atmosphere, the village is an ideal place for tourists. It has a peaceful landscape of small mountains, verdant valleys and rhododendron forests.

Nathuakhan can be accessed by local buses and taxies from Bhowali and Kathgodam. Kathgodam Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest railhead and airport respectively.

Bhiundhar

A small settlement, Bhiundhar is in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. The National Highway connecting Govindghat and Joshimath passes nearby. Alaknanda River, the main tributary of the Ganges, flows through this village.
The village is noted for its calm atmosphere and serene beauty. This hilly area is ideal for the nature lovers as well as for the adventure enthusiasts.

Bhiundhar can be accessed by taxies from Joshimath and Chamoli. Jolly Grant Airport and Rishikesh Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.

मेहता जी, हीरा सिंह राणा जी की इस कविता को देख लें, इसकी अंतिम पंिक्‍त ही इसकी आत्‍मा हैा इसिलए पूरी कविता को देने का कष्‍ट करें कविता यह है
त्‍यर पहाड्, म्‍यर पहाड्,
हय दुखों क डयर पहाड्
बुजुर्गो ले ज्‍वड् पहाड्,
राजनीति ले त्‍वोड् पहाड्

Nanda Kot

Nanda Kot is one of the well known peaks in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is placed at an altitude of 6861 m in the Garhwal region and divides the Gori and Pindari valleys. In 1905, Dr. Longstaff was the first to ascent the peak.
Many famous glaciers are located in this region. The best months for climbing are from September to October.
