Bhimtalla

Bhimtalla is a small town near Chamoli in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. It is on the state highway connecting Joshimath and Chamoli. The main tributary of the River Ganges, Alaknanda River flows through Bhimtalla.
Gopeshwar Mahadeva Temple, a highly revered shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, is easily accessible from here. Chhinka, Pipalkoti, Mayasur and Gopeshwar are the nearby places.

Bhimtalla is well connected by road with Joshimatha and Chamoli. Jolly Grant Airport and Rishikesh Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.

Muyalgaon is located in Tehri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. It is around 35 km east of New Tehri.
An important tributary of River Ganges, Bhagirathi River flows nearby.

Jeolikote


Located 19 km from Kathgodam, Jeolikote is a hilltop village placed at a height of 1219 m in Nainital District. Blessed with shrines and beautiful sculptures, Jeolikote was chosen by great men such as Sri Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda for solitude.
Sylvan Trail leading to a small bungalow, which was once the home of a descendant of Napoleon Bonaparte, and the haunted house of Warwick Sahib (a British army) are the landmarks.

An apiculture center, Jeolikote is famous in producing honey by rearing bees. Jeolikote is also a fertile ground for growing mushrooms and fruits such as strawberries and litchis.

The main road from Jeolikote leads to Nainital in left and right goes to Almora and Ranikhet.

Jeolikote is 18 km away from Nainital. Kathgodam Railway Station is the nearest railway station.

Mehragaon

Mehragaon is a scenic village situated in between Bhimtal and Bhowali in Nainital District. There is a Folk Culture Museum which displays the artistic and cultural artefacts of Uttaranchal. Sat Tal is only seven km away.
Mehragaon offers panoramic views of snow-clad peaks and green hills all around. The village nestles among forests of rhododendrons and deodar. Nearby interesting destinations include Naukuchiatal, Ghorakhal and Jeolikot. It is an ideal base for bird watchers, trekkers and nature lovers. Accommodation is available in the village.

Nathuakhan


Nathuakhan is a beautiful hamlet in Nainital District of Uttaranchal. It lies at an altitude of 6365 ft above sea level and is an ideal place for trekking. The place is around 30 km from Bhowali and 40 km from Nainital.
With its scenic places and calm atmosphere, the village is an ideal place for tourists. It has a peaceful landscape of small mountains, verdant valleys and rhododendron forests.

Dhunaghat


Dhunaghat is a small village in Champawat District, Uttaranchal. It is situated near the state highway passing through Lamgara in Almora District. Some of the nearby places are Khoral, Loharghat, Rithakhal and Devidhura.
Traversed by numerous trekking and hiking trails, Dhunaghat is any adventure lover's dream come true. Champawat is the nearest major town. Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple and Nagnath Temple are easily accessible from here.

Rithakhal is a beautiful village in Champawat District of Uttaranchal. It lies at the district border with Almora District and is noted for its serene atmosphere. The state highway connecting Dhunaghat and Lamgara passes very close to this village. Champawat is the nearest major town. Some of the nearby places are Devidhura, Loharghat and Khoral.
Rithakhal can be accessed by local buses and taxies from Champawat. Tanakpur Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.

Chaubattia

Chaubattia is located 10 km south of Ranikhet in Almora District. On a clear morning a 300 km wide view of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks can be seen clearly from Chaubatia. The NandaDevi, Trishul, Nandaghunti and Nilkanth peaks can be viewed clearly. The Government Apple Garden and the Fruit Research Center are the added attractions.

Chaukhutia

Chaukhutia is located 54 km from Ranikhet, on the Ranikhet-Badrinath road. Ram Ganga River flows through it. The village derives its name from a Kumaoni word ‘Chakuta’ which means four feet or four ways. Ruins of a fort built by the Katyuri Dynasty and Kali Temple are the main attractions here. The village is also known for its natural beauty and as a fishing center. Nearby attractions include Manila, Jaurasi, Dwarahat, Doonagiri, Naina Devi Temple and Lakhanpur Temple. Nearest airbase is Pant Nagar Airport. The nearest railheads are at Kathgodam and Ram Nagar.
