He was one of the few people who preferred to settle down in the village; even when he had the opetions of settling down in comfortable cities and capitals. He considered the role of individuals crucial in retaining the home in the village; and continued to work for afforestation, education, access, awaremess and healthcare for the villagers. 'If everyone decides to migrate, who will live in these beautiful hills', he would say!
