 Revolutionists took the leadership in 1942 movement at All India  level
 The Bharat Chhodo Movement was strong in more in South Garhwal than other parts of Garhwal. In each area, a person or group was leading the movement by his/her own way . Dr Dabral published a pamphlet published on 8th August from mumbari reached to Garhwal within four five days. The request on pamphlet was as under –
“ We were told that every community takes action in any day that action transforms the whole world. All India Congress committee took such decision. First Time, India decided that till it gets freedom , it will fight the battle . Every Indian child, old man , woman is freedom soldier. Might be that your leader would be put in jail before he communicates with you . Might be that British keeps Mahatma Gandhi far away from us.   You take your own decision and fight the war by your own conscious. Your step should be for getting freedom and not less than that . Win or death should be your aim . “

      National Press Mumbai published  pamphlets instructing freedom fighters on 9th -10 August 1942. The said pamphlets were dispatched various parts of India. The senders dispatched pamphlets to Garhwal too  It was instructed for close down Hadtal on 14th August. There were 17 instructions for movement activists . Dr Dabral informed main instructions relevant for Garhwal .
 1-Activist should declare Britain ! Quit India at all corners
2- Destroy all information medium as cut telephone , telegraph wires and railway communication medium.
3- Destroy transportation medium (government)
4-Boycott government works /administrative works too
5-Capture police stations , courts , kachhri  etc
6- burn government liquor shops
7- Students shuld stop going to schools , colleges nd work for freedom movement
   
 There were other pamphlets reached Garhwal after a couple of days –
1-Don’t do any government work in offices and break type writers etc
2- do breakdown in government vehicles or machines
3-police men should revolt
4-army men should do inside activities for freedom
5- destroy all communication and transport medium

        From 6th August 1942 onwards Government initiated many oppressive methods for suppressing quit India movement.
 There were government assets damaging activities by activists against government in Haridwar, Pilibhit, Sahranpur, Dehradun , Almora, Nainital  etc.
   Activists offered advance wages to labors that they did not work for government in Nainital  Kumaun . Shopkeepers left Nainital hills and shifted to Haldwani. There were damaging activities, processions  by quit India activists. 350 Indian soldiers refused entering into hills of Almora. Patwari, Police refused going to hill villages. There were firings twice on activists in Almora.  Government locked Someshwar Khaddar Bhandar and caught at least 10 activists.

         There was dead sure news in the air that Chhavan singh Negi and Jagmohan Singh Negi were reaching Lansdowne on 19th September 1942 for rioting in support of  Quit India Movement. People were eagerly waiting them in Dadamandi and other places.. As soon as district Collector Barnidi  came knowing news, he sent a command under British Officer from Lansdowne Military Camp to Kandi, Udaypur Patti . At the same time, 1000 police soldiers led by Deputy Collector and deputy police superintendent marched towards Udaypur Patti.  Force marched in night with the help of Mental Gas . Two men informed Jagmohan Singh Negi about  military march for Kandi. Jagmohan Singh Negi suggested Double Singh Negi of kandi and Chhavan Singh Negi of Kalsi for going hiding  underground . Jagmohan Singh Negi waited for army. Armed forced reached to Kandi at 3 Am. army took Jagmohan Singh Negi to Lansdowne and later shifted him to Bareli jail. Negi met in jail the activists from Dhangu, Udaypur, dabralsyun, Beeronkhal, langur, Chaundkot Dogadda, badalpur etc.  Police caught Gopal Singh and Govin Ram Mahant too. .

        In Quite India Movement period, Bhairav Datt Dhulia dispatched revolution literature through Hanuman Chalisa Packets/ bundles. Dhulia accelerated the speed of movement. Bhairav Datt Dhulia was lecturer in Tabiya college Delhi .His younger brother Yogeshwar Dhulia reached Delhi from Mumbai. Bhairav Datt Dhulia wrote a booklet ‘ Angrejon ko Hindustan se nikalo -Throw Away British  from India ‘. It was not possible printing that booklet in Delhi. Friend of Bhairav Datt , Ishwari Prasad Dobriyal printed the booklet in quantity in Mumbai and sent to Dhulia. The booklet was in quarter full scape size and the booklet was of  28 pages.  The cover and packet was of hanuman Chalisa and was distributed  in South Garhwal.
The main chapters were in the booklet –
Civil disobedience
Open revolt
Quit India
Do and Die
There were other suggestions for Garhwal as -
Cut the telegraph wires
Not to pay taxes
Malgujar /padhan /thokdar should be inspired for resigning
Comple Patwais for resigning
Kill British soldiers as are killed mad dogs
Beat the traitors/ British  informers
There were instructions for students to snatch tax from Malgujar or Patwari , Brek piilars of forests, Burn courts, government offices .
    Indradev Thapliyal came from Delhi to Dogadda with the literature . Yogesh Dhulia took bundles to Kalsi of Uaypur Patti . Chhawan Singh negi and Double Singh Negi went undergroun for burning Haridwar wood depot.
    Hanuman Chalisa Bundles (Revolt literature) were sent through post offices to Makkhan Lal verma and Nain Sinngh Negi in Lansdowne. One bundle was burnt and another was lost somewhere.
