             Khima Baman is leading Pundit of the village. When the villagers come to know that he is coming with Makhi a scheduled caste widow they are shocked. The family members of deceased husband of   Makhi are ready with Dathi, Stick to snatch Makhi from Kima Baman. Basanti the wife of Khima Baman is in total shock. A few women are in pain that now Basanti has to suffer from ‘Saut ‘and on top of it a Harijan saut. A couple of envied women are happy that now the pride of Basanti will be nowhere. 
 अर इना खिमा कु घौर जनान्युं क पिपड़ाट . क्वी त दुखी होणा कि बुड्यान्द दां बसंती तै सौतक ताना सुणण पोडल , त द्वी चार जळवा जनानी पुळयाणि बि बल हैं या वसन्ति बामणगिरी क घमंड मा भ्युं खुटणि धरदी छे ....खिमा न इन नि  स्वाच कि नौनी नौना ब्योथा ह्व़े गेन अर दुसर ब्यौ करणु ...
However, there is more shock to all when Khima Baman enters into village with Makhi. In this story, Kukreti depicts various real characters of village and illustrates the social bound, social structure in villages. The story readers get shock of their life after reading last paragraph. The story was published in Hilans ( April, 1984)

   Mohan Sailani is one of the important figures in Garhwali poetry and fiction. His way of telling tale is marvelous. Mohan wrote more on social issues in his fiction. In his fiction, Mohan strikes directly on the problems and depicts the reason behind those issues.
  Ghol is about a girl being married and there become disturbance in marriage rituals due to disputes for dowry from her parent side. Her husband leaves her before honey moon. Her mother dies due to shock and late she also dies.
 The story is sad and readers feel sadness too. When they read the letter of her husband along with the girl -
चिट्ठी मा क्या छै आह पति कु दिल छाई. आह वेदी मा कु सुख वीं तै कुतगळी सि लग

गढ़वळि  बाल कथा

                          आश्रमो असली उत्तराधिकारी

                                   भीष्म कुकरेती

                   भृगु ऋषि  क आश्रम उदयपुर पट्टी क आजौ भृगुखाळ म छयो . मुनि भृगु बुड्या ह्व़े गे छया अर अब समौ ऐ गे छयो कि अपण आश्रम क बागडोर कै योग्य च्याला/शिष्य तै देकी सन्यास ले ल्यावन . भृगु ऋषि न अपण  च्यालों अळगसि, हुस्यार अर भरोसा क परीक्षा लीणो निर्णय ले. भृगु ऋषि न अपण ज्ञान कि तीन कुटरी बणैन अर एकेक कुटरी तिनु क हाथ मा दींद ब्वाल, " मी जरा एकाद द्वी मैना खुणि गंगाद्वार (हरिद्वार)  जाणु छौं. त मी हरेक तै ज्ञान कि कुटरी दीणु छौं. तुम अपण हिसाबन ज्ञान-कुटरी क निवेश (इन्वेस्टमेंट ) करी सकदवां ." अर भृगु ऋषि ज्ञान कुटरी अपण शिष्यों तै थमै  क गंगाद्वार जिना चलि गेन .

   द्वी मैना उपरान्त भृगु ऋषि बौड़ीक ऐन.

ऊन अळगसि शिष्य तै पूछ, " शिष्य ! तीन ज्ञान कुटरी क निवेश कन कार ?"

 अळगसि न ब्वाल, "गुरुदेव मीन यीं कुटरी तै समण्या क पुंगड़  मा खड्यार जां से कि ये ज्ञान कि चोरी नि ह्व़े जाओ ."

अब हुस्यार च्याला न बताई, " गुरुदेव मीन ज्ञान कुटरी एक बणिया तै एक सौ रूप्या मा ब्याच. वै बणिया म धन त छयो पन ज्ञान नि छौ अब लोग  वै बणिया तै  ग्यानी बणिया बोलीक भट्यान्दन ."

भृगु ऋषि न पूछ," त वो सौ रूप्या कख छन ?"

हुस्यार च्याला न जबाब दे, " गुरु जी कुछ रूप्या मीन अफु पर  खर्च करीन  अर कुछ आश्रम क काम पर खर्च ह्व़े गेन"

भरोसा  न बताई," गुरुदेव आप दिखल्या कि हमर आश्रम मा दस नया च्याला अयाँ छन ."

गुरु जीन पूछ , किलै?"

भरोसा न बताई," मीन यूँ दस च्यालो मा कुटरी ज्ञान बाँट अर अब यि दस च्याला सौ च्याला बणै सकदन आर फिर हजार , दस हजार च्याला .."

भृगु ऋषि तै भरोसा जन असली उत्तराधिकारी मीलि ग्याई जु निवेश कु असली अर्थ जाणदो छौ  कि एक तै  दस अर दस तै  सौ करणै तैं  निवेश बुल्दन

******कलजुगी कंस को नाश******

भोगीसिंह जनि-जनि पैसा-पत्ता वल़ो ह्वै ,उनि वैन अंट-शंट काम करणा शुरू कैरि दीं.धन-सम्पति बढ़दी गे अर दिमाग बि आसमान मा चढ़दू गे.खुद बि छक्वे दारू पीणि अर अपणा रागस गणों तै बि पिलाणी..दारू पिलैकी अपणा सब काम करवै दींदु छौ.इलाका मा सबि भला-बुरा काम अपणा जिम्मा.जख बिटि बि हो,जनि कै बि हो पण रुप्या ऐ जएँ..सबि जोगी मरीं अर मेरो पतड़ो भरीं,इनी मिशाल करि दे..पटवारी-कानूनगो तै दारू पिलाणि,घूस देणी अर लोगोँ की सम्पति हथ्याणि..बस यी काम ह्वैगे छौ वैको.लोगोँ तै छक्वे दारू पिलैकी झूठी गवै दिलाणि अर सीधा-सदा लोगोँ तै परेशान करणू.
         जमीन -जैदाद अर रूप्या-पैसा कु अति लालच मन्खी तै रागस बणे दींद.अच्छो-भलो आदिम तै बि पापी अर महा पापी बणे दींद.भोगीसिंह बि इनु समझंदु छौ की सरि दुन्य की सम्पति मेरि च.अर जु नि छा ऊ कै बि ढंग से ह्वै जा..रागसी समाज मा क्य नि ह्वै सकदु.? भोगीसिंहन बि क्वी कसर नि छोडि.हद त तब ह्वैगे जब वैन अपणी कक्या भैणी अर वींकु नौनु तै बि नि छोडि.उंकी जमीन-जैदाद तै अपणी बतैकी हड़पी दे.दारू पिलैकी झूठी गवै दिलै अर पटवारी-कानूनगो तै घूस देकी,दारू पिलैकी अपणो काम पक्कू करि दे..अपणी भैणि अर भणजा की जैदाद हडपी की वैन बड़ो नाम समझी.ऊंतई ऊ आंख्युं कु खैड़ जनु देख्दु छौ..गौं-गल्य़ा,पास-पड़ोस वल़ा दारू की घूँट मा बिकणा का कारण क्वी कुछ नि बोल्दा छा,बल्कि वैकि हाँ मा हाँ मिलान्दा छा.दारू बाज द्वी-चार लुंड-गुंड वैका दगड दिन रात ही रैंदा छाया.
          द्वापर मा कंस जनो पापी कु नाश त कृष्ण का रूप मा विष्णु भगवान जि कु अवतार से  ह्वैगे..ये कळजुग मा क्वी अवतार त नि ह्वै.पण ह्वै सकद विष्णु भगवानजि मथि बिटि ही सबकुछ देखदा होला.भोगी सिंह तै कुछ साल बाद ही कैंसर ह्वैगे..वैको दगड़ो करण वल़ा बि क्वी त मरि गीं,क्वी बिमार ह्वैगीं,क्वी दिन-रात दारू पेकि हर्बी गदन जुगा हूणा छन.भोगी सिंह बि अपणी मौत की इंतजारी करणू.कज्याणि वैकि कोढ्या ह्वैगे.कुकर्मों मा साथ दीण वल़ा लड़िक-ब्वारी की निंद हर्चि गे.कुछ दिनों बिटि ऊ पगले गीं.भोगी सिंह कु पापों कु भर्युं घड़ो अफ्वी फुटण लगी गे.

गढ़वळि  बाल कथा

 

                   तिमलौ डाळ

 

                      भीष्म कुकरेती

 

  एक गांवक पुंगड़ मा एक तिमल क डाळ छौ .

एक ननु नौनु उख जान्दो छौ अर रोज तिमलौ ग्व़ाळ तै दिखदु छौ पण डाळ चौढ़ नि सकदु छौ  त गर्म्युं  मा भ्युं पड्या तिमलौ दाण टिपदो छौ अर अफकुण अर अपण परिवारो कुण तिमल ड़्यार लै जान्दो छौ. तिमलौ दाण सवादी हूंदा  छा. 
 
फिर जडडू अर वसंत मा ग्व़ाळ पराक नना नाना काचा  तिमल तोडिक ड़्यार लयांद छौ   अर परिवार तिमलौ भुज्जी खांद दै तिमलौ बड़ी बडे करदा छा. इना तिमल बि पुळयांदो छौ कि उ कैक काम आणु च .

अब जब ननु बडू ह्वाई त एक दिन वैन तिमल कुणि ब्वाल," मेरी ब्व़े न मै तै त्यार लाब   तुड़णो भ्याज"

तिमलन पूछ," पत्तौं  क्या करण तुमन ?"

" ब्व़े बुलणि छे बल तिमलौ लाबान पत्तळ बि बणौला अर कुछ लाबुं तै उसेक लैंदी गौड़ी कुणि  पींडु  बि बणाण " नौनौ जबाब छौ

तिमल न पुळेक ब्वाल ," अरे मि कैको काम औं त मि  तै बडी खुसि हून्द्। तू म्यार ग्व़ाळ बिटेन मीमा चौड़ अर म्यार लाब तोड़ी ल़े . पण हाँ जरा ध्यान से हाँ. म्यार कथगा इ फौंटि कमजोर बि होन्दन , जरा सी जादा गर्रू  ह्वाओ त टुटि  बि जान्दन  हाँ. त ध्यान से चौड़ अर लाब तोड़ "

ननु खुसी खुसी डाळ मा चौड़ अर लाब तोडिक ड़्यार चली गे .

फिर एक दिन नौनु  जवान  ह्वेक आई अर बुलण बिस्याई ," ड़्यारम  आग जळाणो लखड़ इ नी छन . "

तिमल भौत  पुळयाई अर बुलण लगि ," ठीक च जा जु बि म्यार सुक्यां फौंटि  छन ऊं तै काटी लेदी . जरा ध्यान दे हाँ कि म्यार लखड़ भम्म से जगी जान्दन. त आग जळान्द दै   म्यार लखड़ भौत काम आन्दन।"

जवान अब नौनु अध बुढेड़ / प्रौढ़ ह्व़े गे छौ. अर तिमल बि प्रौढ़/अड बुधेड़  ह्व़े गे छौ .

एक दिन वी नौनु अध बुढेड़ /प्रौढ़ ह्वेक आई अर बुलण बिस्याई,'  : हमर इख जग्गी च . खूब लखड़ चयाणा छन "

तिमल हौरी बि पुळयाई अर वैन ब्वाल," ठीक च जु बि अब सुक्यां फौंटि  बच्यां छन वूं तै काटी दे ."

अद बुधेड़ बड़ा बड़ा फौंटि काटी क चलि गे. तिमल अब नंगमुंड्या ह्व़े गे छौ . फिर बि तिमल खुस छौ कि ओ कैको काम आणो च. 

फिर अद बुदेड़ बुड्या ह्व़े ग्याई अर इना तिमल बि बुड्या ह्व़े ग्याई . त बुड्या न तिमलौ ग्व़ाळ काटी अर ड़्यार ली ग्याई . तिमल अप न जिन्दगी से बड़ो खुस छौ कि या  जिन्दगी कै ना कैको काम आई.

 फिर एक दिन बुड्या आई अर तिमल क ग्वळक से बुलण बिस्याई बल ," अब जवान  तिमल कख मीलल ?"

तिमलौ ग्वळकन ब्वाल," हं ! इख मा मि तेरी क्वी मदद नि कौर सकुद. जब म्यार छ्वटा छ्वटा  बच्चा बुट्या छया त तीन वूंकी देख भाळ नि कौर , अपण गोरुं से ऊँ तै नि बचाई अर ओ सौब मोरी गेन या उगटि गेन '

बुड्या उदास ह्व़े ग्याई बल  अब वैकी  नई साखि, नई जनरेसन बगैर डाळौ  क्या कारलि.

 तिमलौ ग्वळक भौत इ  उदास ह्व़े ग्याई कि  अब मनिख बगैर डाळ क क्या कारल ?  तिमल क  ग्वळक सुचणु  छौ कि कास मनिख समौ पर डाळु  रख रखाव क बारा मा चित्वळ ह्व़े जाओ त इं  दुनिया  मा डाळु कबि बि कमि नि ह्वेली.
