      Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas also followed same rout on that L C Gardner marched for Kumaon.  Nicholas reached Katarmal on 9th April 1815. Within ten -twelve days, his reserve armed force with guns also reached there.
     There were around total 3000 personnel in his army. They consumed all the food that was brought by Rutherford within short period.  Rutherford could not arrange for food supply for British army. Many times in campaign, British army soldiers ate roasted raw wheat seeds. They used to bring raw wheat seeds from nearby filed.

                  Initial Developing Phase of Modern Garhwali Poetry (1900-1925)
 Jay Krishna Daurgadatti Rudola is supposed to be brother of Hari Krishna Daurgadatti Rudola. Jay Krishna Rudola was born in 1855 in Shrinagar Garhwal and  expired in1925.
 He was great Sanskrit scholar family of Shrinagar. Jay Krishna used the same style as Contemporary Hindi pets of Bhartendu Era those were following Braj Language style poetry.
 A couple of Garhwali poems of Jay Krishna are available and are of preaching subjects, The words are Sanskrit mix  Garhwali.
The following poem was published in Garhwali Kavitavali (1932)  and states that the poem was created around 1884

क्या चींथड़ा सड़क मा कखिमू नि मिल्दा
क्या डाळियोंन हरले अपणी सुछाया
क्या सूखि गेन नदी नाळ सभी जगत्मा
जो दुर्मदांध  धनिकू कि करेंदि सेवा।
क्या कन्दरा बुज गएन बणी बणू मा
क्या शान्ति देवि वख से उठि की चलीगे
संतोष क्या भागि गए , नि रया शर्मादी
 जो दुर्मदांध धनिकू कि करेंदि सेवा।
क्या वा विवेक की महिमा उठिगै जगत से
गीता गये उपनिषद नि रही -तितिक्षा
शिक्षा विदा ह्वइ गये बढिगे लपस्या

क्या पुण्य की उठिगे जग से सुचर्चा
क्या लोभ ही न इनि सुँदर ताण ताणे
क्या मोह का जगत मा जमिगे जमानो
  जो दुर्मदांध धनिकू कि करेंदि सेवा।
क्या काल रूपी कलि को कलमा जगिगे
क्या धर्मशास्त्र सब शास्त्र बणी गये न
जै कृष्ण बोलिक शरण तुम वेकी जावा

                      वनिष्क व  द्वितीय

कनिष्क के मृत्यु उपरान्त उसके पुत्र  वनिष्क ने चार साल शासन   चलाया।  वनिष्क की कोई मुद्रा उपलब्ध नहीं है।
किसी अन्य कनिष्क की मुद्रा मिलने इतिहासकार मानते हैं कि यह राजा कनिष्क द्वितीय है।  कनिष्क द्वितीय का राज्य भी अल्पकालीन था।
                          हुविष्क

 उपरोक्त राजाओं का उत्तराधिकारी हुविष्क हुआ  रजयकाल 35 -40 वर्ष का था.
हुविष्क के अनेकों मुद्राओं व अभिलेखों अनुसार हुविष्क एक प्रतापी  शासक था। हुविष्क शासन काल  कुषाण काल का स्वर्ण काल माना जाता है।
हुविष्क ने भी अपनी मुद्राओं में देवी देवताओं के चित्र बनवाए। उसकी मुद्राओं में   देवी , यूनानी देवता , शिव , देवी , स्कन्ध , कुमार आदि की प्रतिमाएं अंकित हैं।  हुविष्क कनिष्क  उदारवादी था और अन्य धर्मों को सम्मान देता था।

                                 वासुदेव
कुषाण साम्राज्य का राजा वासुदेव हुआ।  वासुदेव के नाम व मुद्राओं  से सिद्ध होता है किअब कुषाण शासक पूर्ण तरह से हिन्दू संस्कृति में घुलमिल गए थे।  उसकी मुद्रा में उसका नाम 'महाराजा राजतिराज देवपुत्र शाही वासुदेव ' अंकित है।  वासुदेव की मुद्राओं में केवल ननादेवी  (उमा ) और शिव की आकृति मिलती हैं।  वासुदेव भी अन्य धर्मों के प्रति सहिष्णु था।

           Famous Asian poetess Neeta Kukreti is appreciated for her creation of perfect images of Garhwal.

             Famous Asian poetess was born in 1952 in Sumadi a famous Garhwal village of Pauri Garhwal. Neeta’s in law village is Gweel, Malla Dhangu. Famous Asian poetess took education in Music too. She is also famous folk singer of Garhwali. Famous Asian Poetess retired from Shri Guru Ram Rai College Dehradun.
   There are varied subjects of poems by famous Asian Poetess Neeta as nature illustration, religion, migration; twelve months season (Baramasa); rivers , mountains, snow, motherhood, love and what not .
     Famous Asian Poetess is expert of creating perfect images of cited subjects. Though, she does experiment but in her poem the lyrical style is always exists.

   On 12nd April 1815, there was welcome for Hastidal in Lalmandi Fort three days after Nicholas reaching at Katarmal.
   Hastidal the brother of  Bamshah entered into Fort with 300-400 soldiers.  Hearsay was also with the Hastidal party.  Gurkha could not take benefits of arresting Hearsay. The numbers of regular British army soldiers were more than Gurkha soldiers. There was acute shortage of food in Almora and other camps of Gurkha army. Gurkha soldiers used to go for looting food from nearby villages. The civilians already escaped from Almora.  The Gurkha army in Almora was in very bad shape. However, Gurkha soldiers were patriotic and were ready for sacrificing for adversity and their lives for the Nepal King.  Hastings also praised the patriotism of Gurkha soldiers.
