I can possibly comment only on the cultural aspect. I think the State Government needs to pay special attention to Pahari folk and culture.

Negi JI,

It is likely to over 9 yrs since the Uttarkhand State came in existence? Do you satisfied with the development pace ?

Out of 100%, how much mark you give to the development so far?

Yes, in fact as a practice I include one traditional folk song in my each album. From my part I am making effort and want the young singers to carry the tradition. I also sung old songs of senior folk singer Jeet Singh Negi' (Tu Holi Beera by T Series) in  2007. I am making such efforts regularly.

My first album was 'Garhwali Geetmala Part One'. The title of this audio was changed later on to Buransh.

The need of the hour is to preserve the folk languages, otherwise they will disppaer from this world. It depends on the younger generation and their attachment and love for their language and culture. It the State Government can intrduce Garhwal Kumoani languages in school it will do a lot of good to the regional language in Uttarakhand.

नेगी जी से मैं यह जानना चाहता हुं कि आने वाले ५० वर्षों में वह हमारी गढ़वाली /कुमाऊनी भाषाओं का क्या भविष्य देखते हैं? एक कलाकार की तौर पर और एक आम उत्तराखण्डी के रूप में भी।  मुझे तो नही लगता कि यह भाषाऎं अपने अस्तित्व को कायम रख पायेन्गी।  क्योन्कि कोई भी ऊत्तराखण्डी (नयी पीड़ी में विशेष रूप से) अपनी मातॄभाषा को प्रयोग नही कर रहा है, अगर कुछ जिन्दा है तो नेगी जी जैसे कलाकरो की मेहनत है।  पर आगे कोइ उज्ज्वल भविष्य नजर नही आता, आज तो यह जो भी बची है वह सब नेगी जी जैसे कलाकारो या पुरानी पीड़ी के लोगों के वजह से है।  नयी पब्लिक स्कूल संसकृति की संताने तो हिन्दि बोलना भी पाप समझती हैं।
