मेरे एक सहकर्मी इस माह रिटायर होने वाले हैं, उन्हें लगभग १२ लाख तक की धनराशि मिलेगी, उनके पास कुछ जिम्मेदारियां भी हैं। वे निवेश इस तरह से चाहते हैं कि मूलधन तो उनका रहे ही, साथ ही ऐसा भी हो कि जब वे चाहें इसे निकाल भी सकें। इसके लिये वे बैंक की एफ०डी० कराने की सोच रहे हैं, साथ ही कुछ राशि को वे पोस्ट आफिस में एम०आई०एस० स्कीम में लगाना चाह रहे हैं।
आपसे एक्सपर्ट ओपिनियन की अपेक्षा है।

Dear Pankaj Ji,
Your friend can invest in PO-MIS and Senior Citizen Saving Scheme (SCSS). The Maximum limit of investment in MIS is Rs. 4.5 lakh in single account and Rs. 9 lakh in joint account. Considering that these schemes are not liquid in nature, he can invest some amount in Bank FDs so that he can liquidate the same in case of any unforeseen event.  He can also consider investing around Rs. 1 lakh in Monthly Income Plan of Mutual Fund. Returns of MIP are not assured but he can expect batter returns in long term.
