The main attraction of the town of Binsar is obviously the wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary covers an area of 45.59 square kilometres and has a wide variety of animals and birds residing in it. It is believed that over 200 varieties of birds are found in Binsar along with animals like deer,

leopards, Himalayan bears, monkeys, foxes, flying squirrels and many others, making it a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts. People from all across the country as well as abroad visit Binsar to experience nature and wildlife.

With so many varieties of birds, bird watching is one of the most popular activities here. Jungle safaris are organized giving visitors the chance to see the wildlife from up close.

I have personally visited this temple twice when I was in Ranikhet. This temple is situated in a very peaceful place surrounded by Pine Trees.

Second time, i went with my friend in a Scooter from Ranikhet. HI hi. our Scooter developed Mechanical problem when we were about to reach to temple. Baba ji also helped us to take our Scooter in a Mahindra Jeep upto Soni. From where we took the scooter upto Tadikhet .

A fair also held here.

बिनसर अल्मोडा से लगभग ३४ किलोमी़टर दूर है। जो समुद्र तल से लगभग २३०० मीटर की उंचाई पर बसा है।
करीब एक हजार साल पहले ये चांद राजाओं की राजधानी रहा था। अब इसे वन्य जीव अभयारण्य बना दिया गया है। बिनसर झांडी ढार नाम की पहाडी पर है।


अयार पानी के वन विभाग चैक पोस्ट से कुछ फीस देकर बिनसर में जाया जा सकता है। यहां से आगे बढते ही घना जंगल आपका स्वागत करता है। बांज और बुंरांस के घने जंगल में जैसे ही आप पहाड पर आगे बढते हैं दुनिया की हलचल से दूर हो जाते हैं।


इस घने जंगल की शांति को यहां आकर ही महसूस किया जा सकता है। चैक पोस्ट से ग्यारह किलोमीटर दूर है, कुमांयु मंडल विकास निगम का रेस्ट हाउस जहां आप रुक सकते हैं। हांलांकि यहां रुकने के लिए निजी रिजॉर्ट भी हैं, लेकिन जंगल के बीच में रुकने का असली मजा कुमायु मंडल के रेस्ट हाउस में ही है।
