Mayawati Ashram is a nearby place to visit, situated at an altitude of 1940 meters. It is 22 kms away from Champawat and from Lohaghat it is only 9 km away. The spiritualists are attracted to this ashram from India as well as abroad too.



Mayawati established this ashram after the Avait Ashram – Amid and Old tea Estate. Later Swami Vivekanand also shifted the publication office of 'Prabuddh Bharat' from Madras to here. The Ashram also provides board and lodgings to the visitors on their requests. Mayawati Ashram also has a library and a small museum to spend your time.
