धुकड़

यह शब्द फसल से संभंधित है ! उत्तराखंड में जिन इलाकों में गेहू होते है लोग khet से जब गेहू kaat के laate है तो baali से गेहू nikalane के लिए उसे dando से maarte है जिसे sathaneey भाषा में कहते है गेहू chootna ! गेहू chotne के लिए "ghigaru" के tahni का istemaal किया जाता है जो की kaafi lacheela होता है ! जिसे धुकड़ भी कहते है !

This was an old practice when children specially used worship a God of Animals. This was called Gawaldiyo Pooja..

Now this practice has almost disappeared.

Thukk
=====

This word relates to Pooja Path.  Uttarakhand is also known as Dev Bhoomi means a place where God & Goddess reside. During the pooja, when God enters in anybody's soul that is called, this man is called Dangria. After a while Dangria gives blessings to the people with some rice and flowers. However, before that Dangria (God) throws a handful of Rice in different Direction. This called Thukka Marana.

Spiritual point of view, this is done to expel evil power from the surrounding areas.

Main Lagana
==========

This word relates to fishing. People of Uttarakhand hill who live in valley areas,  pour some kind of poisonous juice (Ravas ke pattto ka) into the small ponds (Gaad Gadhere) of River  to kill the fishes. For this, the flow of water is stopped by making a small daam wherein, this Ravas Ka Juice is thrown and after 6-8 hrs, fishes start floating at the bank of the river.  This is entire process is called Main Lagana.

आप इस बात का मतलब वजन तोलने वाले बाँट से नहीं लगाए ! इसका मतलब मीट से है ! पहाडो में जब लोग मीट पकाते है इसका पानी वाले हिसे को स्थानीय भाषा में बाँट कहते है ! यह कुमाओं की तरफ इस शब्द का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है !

मेह्ता जी-   बान्ट   का अर्थ है  हिस्सा ,   गाव मे जब बकरा या पुराने समय मे हिरण आदि का शिकार किया जा ता था तो उसका मान्स  गान्व के सब   परिवारो मे   बान्टा जाता था जो की बाण्ट के रूप मे जाना जाता,   बाण्ट को  हिस्से के  लिए  प्रयोग करते है , जब  दो भाई अलग अलग होते है तो उन्के हिस्से मे आयी जमीन, घर और बस्तुओ के लिए भी बान्ट श्ब्द का प्रयोग होता है.

Naayee & Raul

These are wooden pot basically made of Kaath wood. People use them for churning of curd and making whey.

In local language this is called Naayee and Raul.

This is word relates to Music of Uttarkahand. When Jagar (God Pooja) is organized, a Jagria is required to sing the song of God. There are 3-4 persons are also required who support to Jagria in singing. These people are called Jagria..

यह शब्द खेती से सम्भंदित है, जब पहाड़ो में खेत खाली हो जाते है, तो जानवरों के खेतो में चराने ले लिए छोड़ दिया जाता है, जिसे कहते मुन्गियार कहते है!

शुद्ध पहाड़ी में इसका मतलब - आजादी भी कह सकते है !
