There are sixty poems in the volume Dwi Akhar a first Garhwali poetry collection by Uma Bhatt . The poems are of varied subject and nature , insight, emontions but one thing is common in all the poems that all poems are regarding rural Garhwal or hills of Uttarakhand. However, most of the poems are related to a common rural Garhwali woman and the subjects surrounding her .
The readers may find the spiritual inclination of a female poet when Uma Bhatt prays Jalmukhi god (Village deity) for her creation and for benefiting the human beings and living organisms. The readers enjoy the symbolic and imagery poems of Uma Bhatt about villages, geographical description of Upper Garhwal and Kedar valley. The readers start viewing the hills, springs, woods, scanty or dense bushes, xerophytes and other plants of Upper Garhwal, valleys, rivers and rivulets, birds and Himalayan animals, tracking lanes of villages, hilly farming fields, all types of seasons in verses as ‘ Ar Hyun Galni ‘, Gham , Veen Barkha Ma’, Matu Dharti, Ganga Jamuna.
The poet is successful in portraying the life sketch of female from child to being mother or grand mother in her as poems Myar Balpan , Gon Mudi Dhari’
She describes the seasons of Kedar valley differently than the poets of south Garhwal in verses ‘Vee barkha Ma’ or meghdoot Aige’
In the introductory note of this volume , renowned folk literature expert dr Data Ram Purohit says that Uma Bhatt has been successful in describing Kedar valley village life and culture of Nagpur , Badhan , Rudraprayag regions and the poems are of world class ..
Uma Bhatt also created poems related to various relationship, wrong happenings in social lives and political circle of Garhwal.

मासी, चौखुटिया: रामलीला मैदान मासी में आयोजित मां दुर्गा पूजा महोत्सव के अंतर्गत चल रहे श्रीराम कथा
मासी, चौखुटिया: रामलीला मैदान मासी में आयोजित मां दुर्गा पूजा महोत्सव के अंतर्गत चल रहे श्रीराम कथा ज्ञान यज्ञ रविवार को पारायण के साथ ही संपन्न हो गया। इस मौके पर आधा दर्जन यजमानों ने हवन यज्ञ में सामूहिक पूर्णाहुतियां देकर घर-परिवार व क्षेत्र सभी की सुख-शांति की कामना की। शाम को सभी ने भंडारे का प्रसाद ग्रहण किया। मां-दुर्गा पूजा महोत्सव का समापन आज 10 अक्टूबर को भव्य शोभा यात्रा के साथ होगा।

समापन पर कथा वाचक पंडित हरिशणम ने राम कथा के महात्म्य व महत्ता को विस्तार पूर्वक बताया। कहा कि महात्म्य को सुन लेने मात्र से ही जीवन धन्य हो जाता है। उन्होंने सामूहिक यज्ञ के महत्व पर भी प्रकाश डाला। इससे पूर्व सुबह आयोजन स्थल पर मां दुर्गा की पूजा-अर्चना की गई। शाम को आरती के बाद श्रद्धालुओं ने भंडारे का प्रसाद ग्रहण किया।

चौखुटिया: यहां भी फुलई के श्रीरतनेश्वर महादेव मंदिर परिसर में दुर्गा महोत्सव की धूम मची है। सुबह मां-दुर्गा मूर्ति की विशेष पूजा-अर्चना के साथ ही आरती के बाद प्रसाद वितरण हुआ एवं शाम के समय भजन-कीर्तनों ने खूब रंग जमाया। इससे पूर्व शनिवार की देर सायं स्थानीय कलाकारों ने रंगारंग कार्यक्रम पेश कर दर्शकों का मनोरंजन किया। इस दौरान उभरते युवा कलाकार रमेश बाबू गोस्वामी के गीतों पर दर्शक भी थरकने को मजबूर हो गए।

   Though, Omprakash is Physics teacher but by heart, he is very tender and creates various types of Garhwali poetries. His subject varies from the pain of a Garhwali woman of Garhwal to natural beauty of rural Garhwal. Simplicity is his way of narrating poems but keeps a mystery too.
  His subjects fo poems are mainly philosophy, nature, images, love, wrong happenings in the society, administration and cultural.
 Twee, aige samo, Vasant, Bhol, Pahadai Nari, Baudik Aijai, Nayo saal are his reprehensive poems in Garhwali language

    Om Prakash Semwal published two Garhwali short story collections too.
Om Prakash Semwal  is a famous literature movement activist of Rudraprayag.
Om Prakash Semwal created dozens of dramas in Garhwali.
Singer: He is also famous singer and released an audio cassette of Falasi Devi is available in market and this cassette became a rage when it was released.

कबरि हम सणी बि राज भाषा बिंगौंदा
शिकार तुमू खांदा हमुतैं बास सुंघौंदा
दिन हमरा बि ठ्यलेणा छिन सस्ये सस्येक
चुनौं का बगत छां ठाठ दिन द्वियेक ------------
अब त ना तिबार सजीं खोळि चमकणी
सल्यों कि कळजुग मा क्वैई गिण्ति नी
म्वारा रिटदा खंद्वरों रोंदा सौत बणदै नी
चकड़ेतों अड्यौण वळों का पसिना छूटीनी--------
हे राम फिर ले जनम !

 Shiv Dayal Shailaj has been publishing his Garhwali poems in periodicals and poetry collections.
  Shiv Dayal Shailaj was born in 1965, in Meldhar village of Dhoundhiyalsyun, Pauri Garhwal.  The poems by Shiv Dayal Shailaj deal with today’s social and administrative issues, psychology, and confusion in sub conscious and unconscious mind.
  Shiv Dayal create Gazal too. His style is conventional and free verses. Totaram Dhoundiyal appreciated poems by Shiv Dayal in terms of serious issues in his poems and poetry style. Shiv Dayal uses common symbols for creating images. His many poems are symbolic in a sense that the symbols create psychological images.

बणि घुघती बसि। जा गौलि मा।

तू माया की गैरी घाटी छै। ।।

तू तीलू रामी की सुबास छै।।

पेट भोरण्या बात ह्वैग्या ;लाटौं को साथ ह्वैग्या।।
मैर बंसला बिवैण्या आलो कबि न कबि ।
तू आस की दिवडी न बुझैई कबि ।।1।
फौंकी तेरी कटे गैंईं ; पात सबि झैडी गैंईं।
खरडू पूस लगि ग्याई ; चखुला सबि उडि गैंईः।।
सूखी डांडि हैरी ह्वैली कबि न कबि ।
तू माया को मौ ल्यार न लौटै अबि ।।2।।
भड॔ग रूडी पोडिग्याई ; खैरियं को लगि ग्याई घाम ।
बांजा कि जैड्यूं को पाणि ; गौलि उबाली आलि फाम।
तिसला लोग दौडि दौडि आला कबि न कबि ।
तू प्रीति की नवली न सुखैई कबि ।।3।।
बिरड्यां लोग घार आला कबि न कबि ।
तू आस की दिवडी न बुझैई कबि ।।
