Should Gairsain Be Capital? - क्या उत्तराखंड की राजधानी गैरसैण होनी चाहिए?

First of all a very warm welcome to merapahad community.

Thanks for sharing your views. .. There is a hot discussion on this subject. Most of the people are in favour of Garisain as it was the proposed capital since the struggle days of Uttarakhand.

The benefits have already been explained in previous posts.

I am new to this forum , so please pardon and avoid if theirs any mistake.
I am a resident of uttarakhand , and i always heard this debate of shifting capital to Gairsain. And my thought conflict with this opinion. My reason are backed by the following reasons:
1).A state of large infrastructure is needed to set a city to be capital and that what dehradoon full fills in all terms.In gairsen all this infrastructure development need a lot more time and cost.
2).For a student like us who have various ( rather say illogical) documentation works with government organisations , cant afford such travelling routes.
3)Doon has all major connectivity with major towns and metros ,Gairsen lacks dat.
4)You cant attract major investment opportunities from FDI at a place like gairsen.

Yes , though i lay emphasis on development on 360 degree view, as only few cities have got the charms of uttrakhand flaour.....rest are still starving for basis need of water and electricity.

But i differ with the views of Mr Negi ji and Anil ji.

Gairsain was the proposed capital of Uttarakhand. Initially, it was said that within 6 months the capital will be shifted to Gairsain. Now it has been over 10 yrs and people of hills feel cheated.

If someone has to come from Hills to Dehradun, he / she needs 5000/- in packet and two days time.

Development of view also.... Gairsain is the appropriate place of Uttarakhand.

उक्रांद ने गोलू देवता के मंदिर में दी अर्जी
चंपावत। राज्य गठन के दस वर्ष बाद भी स्थायी राजधानी का मसला सुलझता न देख उक्रांद ने इस मामले में इंसाफ के लिए गोलू देवता की शरण ली है। कुमाऊं में न्याय करने के लिए प्रसिद्ध गोलू देवता के मूल मंदिर में स्टांप पेपर में याचिका लगाई है। याचिका में अस्थायी राजधानी देहरादून में निर्माण कार्यों में करोड़ों की धनराशि खर्च करने वालों को दंडित किए जाने और स्थायी राजधानी गैरसैंण को बनाए जाने की दिशा में सकारात्मक पहल नहीं किए जाने पर न्याय की गुहार लगाई गई है।
उक्रांद के वरिष्ठ नेता एवं सैन्य प्रकोष्ठ जिलाध्यक्ष त्रिलोक सिंह बोहरा एवं बसंत सिंह तड़ागी की ओर से दस रुपये के नॉन ज्यूडीशियल स्टांप पेपर पर राज्य की स्थायी राजधानी गैरसैंण बनाए जाने का मामला गोलू देवता के समक्ष जनहित याचिका के रूप में रखा गया है। गौरतलब है कि जिला मुख्यालय में स्थित न्याय के लिए प्रसिद्ध गोलू देवता के मंदिर में स्टांप पेपर, पत्र एवं सामान्य अर्जियों के माध्यम से पीड़ितों की ओर से फरियाद किए जाने का यह पहला मामला नहीं है। चंपावत में गोलू देवता के मूल मंदिर में अतीत से ही व्यवस्था अथवा न्यायालयों के फैसलों से असंतुष्ट लोग प्राकृतिक न्याय की गुहार लगाते रहे हैं। फरियादों में व्यवस्था की खामियों से नाराज लोगों को आस्था में ही उम्मीद रहती है।

कुमाऊं में गोलू देवता क ो भूमि देवता तथा न्याय का देवता माना जाता है। पीड़ित लोगों को जब कहीं से न्याय नहीं मिलता है तो वे गोलू देवता की शरण में जाकर न्याय की गुहार लगाते हैं। गोलज्यू का मुख्य मंदिर चंपावत में है। घोड़ाखाल (नैनीताल), चितई (अल्मोड़ा) और उदयपुर (बिंता) में भी गोलू देवता के प्रसिद्ध मंदिर हैं।

जनता जब उत्तराखंड राज्य बना तब से राजधानी के मसले पर अपने को ठगी से महसूश कर रही है! जगह -२ धरना प्रदर्शन होते रहते है, लेकिन देहरादून में कुर्सी में  बैठ अपने ही लोगो को इसके कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता, क्यों कि उनके पाँव जमीन पर न नहीं है!

वो पहाडो का दुःख, कष्ट सिर्फ हेलीकाप्टर से देखते ना की जमीन से! अगर जमीन में भी देख ने तो इतने निठुर बन चुके है, इनके हिरदय पर इसके कोई असर नहीं होता. !

समय गया है जनता को अब जवाब देना चाहिए...

You are right Dhanesh Ji.

Dixit Commission was itself a big mystery and political motivated. It took more than 9 yrs and more than 11 time extenion.

More surprising fact that some of the Leaders from UK have not interested that Capital to be moved to Gairsain. Shame !

Gairsain should be capital of Uttarakhand.

I do agree with the logic given by the other members in favour of Gairsain. It is disheartening to note to note that many people are not having adequate knowledge about this issue and just faviouring the Dehradun because of their personal interest.
