chiring We means "mountain of long life".

it is at the head of ralam valley and can be approached from munsyari.

zoom out of the major peaks in the pindar river valley area:

on the left is nanda kot (with a flat peak). kot = castle. it stands guard like a castle to the goddess nanda devi.

in the centre in the pointed peak of panwali dwar. on the left is maiktoli.

in between are soem local peaks like biljuru, chaguuch, pindari peak, etc.

between panwali dwar and maiktoli lies the sundardhunga valley. between panwali dwar and nanda kot lies the pindari and kafni glaciers.
