बेला जी क्या ऐसी फिल्म बन सकेगी जोकि ऐसा दर्शाती हो कि अपने पहाड़ में अच्छा जीवन स्तर है बजाय इसके कि बाहर धक्के खाएं जाएँ अगर ऐसा हुआ तो सच में आपका पहाड़ी लोगों पर ये बड़ा अहसान होगा तथा इससे पहाड़ का विकास भी होगा चूंकि हमारी ज्यादा जमीन बंजर पड़ी है

Bela ji, I think this is your first movie....did it ever hit in your  mind that you might have choosen a wrong step in your life...or you may  have thought to change to some other field also...

i think they have given the film that quality that people are responding to- of spontaneous acting, of real presence of real people. They were extraordinary- if I think of all of them- the many children who are so wonderful in the school sequences, the many others- Paruli Devi as Haruldi..
these were people who might not have acted before, but they really brought their goodwill, their patience and their desire to help, to the film- and that really helped to make this film what it is today

no, like I was telling my friend the other day, when we had no idea of the release at all and were all tired waiting- that I still feel glad I made this film, it has meant so much to me. I want to make another film
