Join hands against Tobacco and Plastics in Uttarakhand

भाइयो क्या उत्तराखंड सरकार ने तम्बाकू और प्लास्टिक्स पर दिल्ली गुजरात सर्कार की तर्ज पर बैन नहीं लगाना चाहिए ?ये दो पहाड़ को धीरे धीरे बर्बाद कर रहे हैं.

Yes.. uttarakhand Govt must think seriously about this issue and ban the tobacco in line with Gujraj and other state.

During last visit it was heart rending to see beautiful villages and cities littered with polythene, Gutkha pouches etc. As if it was not enough, a new trend to use disposable utenlsils etc. in the marriage parties, Naamkaran etc. is catching up rapidly.
Lets oppose this the next time we attend any ceremony and try to convince as many.

I hail from District Bageshwar. Once i was going to my hometown during Summer, i purchased some sweets at Bageshwar but Shopkeeper refused to give polythene as District Administration had banned use of polythene there.

There is need to implement such ban on usage of polythene on other part of UK.

बागेश्वर जनपद में कुछ सालों से पॉलिथीन के उपयोग पर प्रतिबन्ध है। यहाँ के हर एक व्यापारी ग्राहकों को सामान कपड़े से बने थैले या कागज से बने लिफाफे में देते हैं। समय-समय पर विभिन्न विद्यालयों के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा भी यहाँ पॉलिथीन उन्मूलन कार्यक्रम चलाये जा रहे हैं।
जो भी व्यापारी चोरी-छिपे पॉलिथीन का उपयोग कर रहे हैं उनके खिलाफ प्रशासन को भी कड़े कदम उठाने की जरुरत है साथ ही लोगों को भी जागरूक होना पड़ेगा कि वे पॉलिथीन का उपयोग न करें।
जहाँ तक बात है तम्बाकू, गुटखे इत्यादि नशीले पदार्थों की इन्हें उत्तराखंड सरकार ने शीघ्र ही प्रतिबन्ध लगाना चाहिए। उत्तराखंड में जितने भी इस प्रकार की कम्पनियाँ हैं इन्हें बंद करना चाहिए और दूसरे प्रदेशों से इस प्रकार के पदार्थों के आयात पर प्रतिबन्ध लगाना चाहिए। हमारे गाँव घरों में गुटखा, तम्बाकू पहुंचेगा ही नहीं तो लोग कहाँ से गुटखा खायेंगे।

It's a pleasure to know that Bageshwar admin has banned polythene usage. Even Almora and other distt admin has banned it.
If I am not wrong Pithoragarh was the first distt in kumaon to impose ban nearly 8-10 yrs ago and the initiative was taken by the public.That time I visited there and felt really proud that other distt.s will follow suit and uttarakhand will get rid of this menace.
But,come 2012 and it again is being used, the shopkeepers from the plains bring it in huge quantities and use/sell it under the nose of admin. Same has started in Almora.
So the point is, until the state govt doesn't impose blanket ban on its usage, and frame strict law, its very hard to get rid of it.

Almost 90 % of young generation people are using tobacco and they are prone to any kind of illness in their young age. It is better that Uttarakhand Govt should seriously think and ban usage of tobacco and polythene in Uttarakhand at the earliest.

नए साल से उत्तराखंड में गुटखे पर बैन

0  भाषा | Jan 1, 2013, 09.41PM ISTदेहरादून।। उत्तराखंड में गुटखा और तंबाकू से बने पान मसाले पर लगाया गया बैन नए साल से लागू हो गया।

राज्य मंत्रिमंडल ने ढाई महीने पहले नए साल की पहली तारीख से इन उत्पादों की बिक्री, खरीद और स्टोरेज पर बैन लगाने का फैसला किया था। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि बेचने वालों को 31 दिसंबर तक का समय इन प्रॉडक्ट्स का निपटारा करने के लिए दिया गया था।

उन्होंने कहा कि कड़ाई के साथ बैन लागू करने के लिए सभी संबंधित विभागों को सर्कुलर जारी कर दिया गया है।(source navbharatimes.com)
