Once again we would like to thank you for giving these details to us.

We wish to have more details and views from other people and shortly we will take-up the matter with the Govt.

We are inviting views of several prominent personality of Uttarakhand who are into this field and other people too.

So far the views received, all of them want that Govt should act fast on this particular long-outstanding issue.

ये बहुत दुःख की बात है की उत्तराखंड राज्य बनने के ७ वर्षो बाद भी हमारे राज्य को ना फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री प्राप्त हुई है और ना ही कोई टी. वी चैनल|

मीडिया ही एक ऐसा जरिया है, जिसके द्वारा उत्तराखंड के जन-जन को अपने क्षेत्र के विकास व सरकार की परियोजनाओ के बारे में पता चल सकता है| साथ ही साथ राज्य में पर्यटन को बढावा देने में इसकी महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी होगी|

भारत देश की बात की जाए तो यहा के अनेक राज्य जैसे पंजाब, बिहार, महाराष्ट्र के पास अपनी फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री है और इसी के सहारे ये अपनी संस्कृति को देश भर से अवगत करा रहे है| और जो लोग यहा के नही है वो भी इन संस्कृति को जानने में भरपूर उत्सुकता दिखा रहे है|
क्या उत्तराखंड सरकार आँखे  मूद कर गहरी निंद्रा में चली गयी है क्या जो इस ओर उनका ध्यान नही गया|
हम नई पीड़ी को अपनी धरोहर, कला, संस्कृति से परिचय कराना चाहते है और वो तभी शत प्रतिशत सम्भव होगा जब हमारे पास उसके लिए एक प्लेटफॉर्म हो|
और उस प्लेट फॉर्म का नाम है उत्तराखंड का एक अपना टी. वी चैनल और अपनी फ़िल्म इंडस्ट्री|

यह बहुत दुखद है कि उत्तरांखण्ड की सरकार प्रदेश में फिल्म उद्योग के विकास के प्रति उदासीन रवैया अपना रही है. सरकारी व प्राइवेट चैनलों में कुछ मिनटों के का्र्यक्रमों के अलावा उत्तराखण्ड टी.वी., रेडियो पर अपनी सशक्त उपस्थिति दर्ज नहीं करवा पाया है.  

वर्मा जी के विचारों से हम पूर्णत: सहमत हैं. उनके द्वारा तैयार किया गया फिल्म उद्योग का मसौदा निश्चय ही कई पहलुओं से महत्वपूर्ण होगा. इस मामले पर सरकार को कुम्भकर्ण की नींद से जगाने की तत्काल आवश्यकता है.

I will be telling you today about the Cinema Industry in Uttarakhand, which is in a collapsing stage. I will try to give you some Statistics and data of Cinemas since formation of the State on 09.11.2000 in 13 Districts of our State. I am starting from BAGESHWAR.

                                      BAGESHWAR

There was only ONE cinema hall in Bageswar, which was named as BAGNATH. Unfortunately it closed down during 2006-07.

I am eager to see figures of Pithoragarh distt. There used to be only one picture hall in Pithoragarh city. I m not sure if this hall is still running or not..
