Here is the first song

Syun/ Sui Nach Gan:  A Garhwali Folk Dance-Song of Catching Needle by Mouth and Dancing

(Folk Dance of Garhwal, Traditional Dance of Uttarakhand, Himalayan, Indian Folk Dances)
                                  Bhishm Kukreti
Syun  Nach Gan or  Needle Dance Song of Garhwal is very artful,  entertaining ,crafty and it requires dancing capability ,dancing caliber and dancing competency . For commencing the Syun/Sui/needle dance, the needle or needles are kept on a table of stone above the ground.  The female dancer fist keeps needle on her mouth or on tongue and then keeps on the table or on the stone kept on higher position of ground. While dancing the professional class dancer (Mirasan or Badan) catches Syun/sui/needle by tongue or mouth by keeping her back on ground side. Many times, Miraan or Badan takes a round jug (lutya), glass (gilas) by their teeth too at performing Sui/needle dance.  The body of female dancer requires much flexibility for performing the Syun/Sui/needle dance as the dancer has to bend and dance with caliber.
The Badi or Mirasi plays musical instrument as Dhulki or Hudkee and sings the song while female dancer dances the needle dance. The dancer catches needle at the time of intermission of song.  The badi/mirasi plays Dholki/Hudki with very slow rhytham while dancer is catching needle by her tongue or mouth.
There is no fix type of song for the Syun/Sui/needle Garhwali folk dance. However, modst of the songs are agile in nature and entertaining too.
Here is an example of syun/Sui/Needle Folk dance of Garhwal,

Garhwali Folk Song for Needle Dance

Whose wife is this lady?
(She is as )
Airy as smoke, thin as water
Smooth as banana, soft as butter
Bright as wick light of lamp, whose wife is this lady?
If she were my wife, I would have kept her on my heart.
She is as
Rain of cloud, strand of green grass
Flexible as branches of Bheemal, thelki od leaves
Bud of Fyunli, Whose wife is this lady?
Nose as parrot , tongue as Koyal/cooko
Fire on eyes, cheek as Burans /Rhododendron
Waist is Hudki,   Whose wife is this lady?
If she were my wife, she would be on my palm
Beautiful most of beautiful women, the moon of moons
Ear of Chani cereal, tender as spinach plant
Fruit of Hisar, whose wife is this lady?
She has become a singer by cutting grass or her work has been grass cutting only
Her husband has gone to plains/city, did not post a letter at all
He is cruel that forgotten her
Whose wife is this lady?

Thali Nrity-Geet: An Adventurous Garhwali Folk Saucer Dance and Song            (Garhwali Folk Dance-Song, Uttarakhandi Traditional Dance-Song, Himalayan, Indian Folk Dance-Song)

                                  Bhishm Kukreti

The human ancestors were adventurous in finding new territories but were adventurous in innovating adventurous dances too. The saucer dance is an adventurous dance-song sequence. Many ethnic groups all over world dance and sing on saucers.
In Garhwal, Thali dance is very interesting among all dance-songs . The dance-song is performed many times on the occasions of Republic day in Delhi
In Minangkabau community, the saucer dance is very popular and is called ‘Tari Piring’ by the community. The ‘Tari Piring’ is invented by agrarian influences.
In Sumazau dance of Sabah nation of Malaysia, people hold a small saucer with candles on it and dance enthusiastically.
The Rakhien people of West Burma dance with earthen oil lamp and somehow similar to Thali nrity of Garhwali and both are devotional dance-song.
Ghamzegi or Quandegi dance of Afghanistan is also similar to Garhwali Thali dances except that in Afghani dance, the performer (woman) hold cup and saucer filled with water on palms and dance backward till she touches the ground. This is very thrilling experience for the audience.
In Nalbeki dance of Azerbaijan, the women dance with saucer and Nalbeki dance is performed by women only
Garhwali Thali or Saucer Folk Dance-Song
Dr Shiva Nand Nautiyal states that the Thali dance came into existence at the time of emerging Deepak Dance-song in Garhwali culture. If we watch the worshipping sequences by Rawals in Badrinath and Kedarnath, the Rawals waves lamps (Jot) as if Rawal s dancing and lamps are also dancing. In Gnagotri and Jamnotree Pooja , pilgrimages keep earthen lamps on their waving hands and then worship for hours . In KinkleshwarMahadev Pooja in November at Shrinagar, the devotees keep earthen lamps on their hands for hours.
There is no restriction on the numbers of dancers for Thali Nrity-Geet and there is no such restriction of genders. However, usually, the Thali dance-Song is performed by female dancers.
The dancers start the dance by body dance before taking saucers on hands. Then after, the dancers take the bronze saucer on their palms and dance in circle or other sequences. In second, stage, the dancer/dancers dance with saucer on the opposite side of palm. In last stage, the dancer takes saucer on the middle finger and dance with various sequences. The dancer waves the saucer on finger while dancing.
In some case, the dancer takes another stage of dancing on the edges of deep saucer.  In most of case, the dance is similar to Bharta Natyam.
There is no fixed rule for the songs to be sung for the Thali nrity or Saucer dance. Usually, love, romantic or songs of agile or enthusiasm in nature are sung along with dance by the singers sitting nearby dancing sequences by dancers.
The song is very figurative and many interesting images emerged from the phrases of the following folk songs for saucer dance of Garhwal. In this song the creator narrates and appreciates all the actions of his beloved ones

RadhaKhandi  Nach-Gan:  Garhwali Folk Dance –Song  of Love Rapture with Spiritual Senses

(Garhwali Folk Dance-Song, Traditional Dance-Songs of Uttarakhand, Himalayan, Indian Folk Dance-Songs)

                                  Bhishm Kukreti

Radhakhnadi, a Garhwali dance-song is a song and dance of love of rapture.  The base of songs and dances are the love between Radha and Krishna, between Rukmani and Krishna and Chandravali and Krishna . The love of Radha-Krishna had been the sign of high standard without any sin, without any desire for body for years. The love between Rukmani and Krishna had been the sign of a pure love between husband and wife and definitely, there is the question of possessiveness of wife for her husband.   The dance-songs are based on the above two love stories which, have been there in Indian scenes for centuries.
Badi-Badan and Mirasi-Mirasan (the professional dancing-singing classes) perform these Garhwali folk dance-songs.    Usually,  Radhkhandi folk dance-song  is performed in spring season.
The Bad0-Badan or Mirasi-Mirasan use the folk music instruments dholki  (drum) and sarangi  (string instrument)  for performing Radhakhandi folk dance-songs.
Before starting the dance-song, the people including dance-song performers worship lord Krishna, Radha and Rukmani.  The dance is free in dancing and is certainly entertaining and ritual too.
The songs for Radhakhandi are always in poetic dialogue system. The dialogues are between Krishna and Radha, between Rrukmani and Krishna and between Chandravali and Krishna.
The dances are of varied nature and are with high drama of eternal love between Krishna and his lovers as Radha, Rukmani or Chandravali.  Many times Krishna comes in female form to tease Radha, Rukmani or Chandravali.  The forms of love by Krishna are exhibited in many ways and means while dancers are performing dances.
In old age, the Mirasi-Mirasan or Badi-badan used to entertain the Kings, ministers and Thokdars of Garhwal by Radhakhandi dance-song.  The dancers perform with dramatic ways that is performance by eyes, feet, body and hands.
An Example of Folk Song for Radhakhandi Dance-Song

The following song of Radhakhandi folk dance is having figures of speeches and the last part of each verse/line creates a very sensational sound too
