Nagrasu

 
Nagrasu is a small town, which lies at the district border between Rudraprayag District and Chamoli District in Uttaranchal. It is on the National Highway connecting Rudraprayag and Gauchar in Chamoli District. The nearby places are Dayali, Chopta, Dhankot, Tilwara and Khankra. The temples of Rudranath and Chamunda Devi Temple are easily accessible from here.
Jolly Grant Airport and Rishikesh Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.

Bagrigad


Bagrigad is a beautiful village in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. It is situated on the trekking route connecting Gwaldam and Tapobath. The village is noted for its calm atmosphere and scenic beauty. Chamoli and Karnaprayag are the nearest major cities.
Trekking routes and colorful localities add to the attraction of this rural haven. Some of the nearby places are Mundoli, Ghes, Dungri, Tharali and Debal.

Jolly Grant Airport and Rishikesh Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead.

Tapobath

 


Tapobath is a village in Chamoli District, Uttaranchal. The Kunwari Pass trek, one of the best in the Garhwal Mountains, starts from the hilly terrain of Tapobath. Alaknanda River, the main tributary of the River Ganges, flows very close to this village.
Barhgaon, Dhak, Paing and Suki are cities and villages located around Tapobath. Adi Sankara Mandir and Paramapurushan Temple are sacred spots to visit.

The nearest railway station and airport are at Rishikesh and Dehradun respectively.

Sunbhi, a small settlement, is in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city , this rural area blessed abudantly by nature, is a haven for tourists. The nearby major cities are Chamoli and Karnaprayag.
The River Pindar flows very close to this village. Kumjug, Ghat, Nandgaon, Nauli and Romni are the places around Sunbhi. Chopta considered as one of the most striking and quaint spots in the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal, is easily accessible from here.

Rishikesh Railway Station and Jolly Grant Airport are the nearest access points.

Chaukhamba Peak

Chaukhamba Peak is located at an altitude of 7,138 m in the Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. It is one of the well known peaks of the Himalayas.

Sutol

Sutol is a scenic village situated 10 km from Wan in Chamoli District. It is located at an altitude of 2,100 m. The village lies along the Kuari Pass-Nanda Devi-Roop Kund trek route. Nandakini River flows near by. Sutol nestles among lush forests of juniper and rhododendron. It offers a panoramic views of snow-clad peaks and valleys all around. Joshimath, Homkund, Ramni, Kanol, Mundoli, Nandakini Valley, Kalyaghat and Jhenjipani are nearby interesting destinations. Trekking and mountaineering are the main attractions. Base camps are available.
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Rishikesh.

Kanol

Kanol is a picturesque village situated 10 km from Wan in Chamoli District. It is located at an altitude of 2,750 m and lies on the Nanda Devi Trek route. Kanol nestles among thick forests of rhododendron. The Nandakini River flows close by. The village houses are made up of stone and slate. The place offers a majestic view of the Trisul Peak. Nearby places to visit are Roop Kund Lake, Sutol, Kanol Pass, Mundoli, Nanda Ghunti, Nandakini Valley and Kauri Pass. Trekking and mountaineering are the main attractions. Camps and rest houses are available here.

Mundoli


Mundoli is a small hamlet in Chamoli District, Uttaranchal. It is situated about 35 km from Kathiyan, Dehradun. Mundoli lies at an altitude of about 2,134 m, on the Haridwar-Rishikesh trek route. Surrounded by lush green forests, Mundoli offers panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Mundoli has vast ski slopes on which one can enjoy skiing. It is a veritable paradise for nature lovers and trekkers. Roopkund Lake, Bekhal Tal, Wan, Lohajung Pass, Bedini Bugyal and Tiuni are nearby tourist destinations. Nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport and the nearest railway station is at Rishikesh. Mundoli is connected by road to Dehradun (129 km), Chakrata, Dharagarh and Devban.

Bampa

 


Bampa is a rural hamlet in Chamoli District, Uttaranchal. Malari, Jelam and Shyama are the nearby places. Joshimath and Chamoli are the nearest major cities. Niti, a scenic village situated in the Dhauli Ganga valley of Garhwal Region, is easily accessible from here. Niti Pass is within a short distance from here.
