Bauna in Pithoragarh District


Bauna is a small settlement in Pithoragarh District, Uttaranchal. It lies on the banks of the River Gori and is noted for its scenic beauty. Sumdum, Tijam, Walthi, Bothi, Madkot and Darkot.
Namik, the quaint village famous for the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route, is easily accessible from here. Munsiyari and Dharchula are the nearby major towns.

Local buses and taxies connect Bauna with Munsiyari. Tanakpur Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest railway station and airport respectively.

Walthi

Walthi is a small village, which lies near Madkot in Pithoragarh District, Uttaranchal. Blessed by the River Gori , Walthi is a scenic location catering to lovers of nature. Munsiyari and Dharchula are the nearby major cities.
Walthi is also a good location for the adventure enthusiast who can indulge in mountain climbing and trekking. One can also pay a visit to nearby locations Bauna, Mawani,Bothi, Darkot, Tiksain and Girgaon.

The nearest airport and railway station are Pant Nagar Airport and Tanakpur Railway Station.

Mawani

Mawani is a beautiful hamlet in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. Amply blessed by nature, Mawani is a choice destination for tourists. Didihat and Dharchula are the nearest major towns.
Dhamigaon, Bansbagar, Tejam, Madkot, Walthi, Bauna and Chhiplakot are all interesting locales to visit nearby. The River Gori flows very close to this village. Mawani has a lot to offer for trekkers and mountaineers craving for adventure.

Bansbagar


A small settlement, Bansbagar is in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is situated near the trekking route connecting Kalinag and Tejam. The place is encircled by cities and villages such as Nachani, Mahargari, Dhamigaon, Mawani, Girgaon and Arkhet.
Didihat and Dharchula are the nearby major cities. A branch of the Ramganga River, a rain-fed river originating near Gairsain in the Lesser Himalayas, flows close to this village.

Tanakpur Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area.

Mana

Mana is a tribal village situated 4 km away from Badrinath. The village is inhabitated by Indo-Mongolian tribe. It is the last Indian village on the Indo-Tibetan border. Vyas cave, Ganesh cave, Bhimpul and Vasundhara Falls are the main nearby attractions.

Nauti

Nauti is a small village in Chamoli District, about 200 km away from Rishikesh. The village, with its scenic beauty and pilgrim spots, is an ideal place for tourists. Nandadevi Fair, held in the month of September every year, attracts thousands of devotees to this village.
Rishikesh Railway Station and Jolly Grant Airport are the nearest access points.

Gauchar

 


Gauchar is a tourist destination situated on the banks of the famous Alaknanda River. This place is about 21 km from Rudraprayag in Uttaranchal. The major tourist destinations including Rishikesh, Dehradun and Haridwar are easily accessible. The hilly terrain is an interesting spot for trekkers. Every year on November 14, a big trade fair is held here, which is attended by many. The flat lands at Gauchar are used for landing helicopters and planes. An airstrip is being constructed here. Gauchar houses numerous hotels which offer comfortable accommodation. Rishikesh Railway Station is the nearest railhead (164 km).

Deora


Deora is a picturesque village situated in Uttarkashi District. Karna Temple is the main attraction of the village. It offers a panoramic view of high snow-clad mountain ranges all around. The village nestles among dense forests of pine and deodar. Agriculture and livestock rearing are the main occupations of the villagers. Nearby attractions include Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, Har-Ki-Doon Valley, Barsu Valley and Taluka.

Thati Dichli


Thati Dichli is located in the southern part of Uttarkashi District in Uttaranchal. It lies near the district’s border with Tehri Garhwal District. Bhagirathi River has its course through the area.
Uttarkashi, the district headquarters, is around 35 km north of Thati Dichli. Sem-Mukhem is a sacred spot nearby.

The nearest airport and railway station are at Dehradun.
