( हर  क्वी व्यक्ति अपना जीवन मा एक बार या बात जरूर सोचदु होलु. की खास क्वी इन जादु मंतर ह्वे जो की  मेरू बालुपन फिर से लोट्की  ऐ जो. येई बारा मा यु पंक्ति लिखी छन. येमा  एक बुजुर्ग अपड़ी व्यथा    सुणाणु  चा)


तू छै जादु मंतर, करदे जंतर मंतर-२
मेरू बालुपन मैतै ल्वोटैदे
यु  आखियु का सुपनै सजै दे .
हे  जादु मंतर, करदे यु झठ सर-सर


मेरा मनकु द्दियु जगै दे,
मुर्जियु  जीवन फूल खिलै दे.
यु  आखियु कु पाणी सुखै दे,
गोयी उबैयी तिश बुझैदे.
हे जादु मंतर ,करदे यु मन तर-तर.
तू छै जादु मंतर.....................................


बालुपन  मेरू सर चलीगैयी,
ऐ या ज्वानी ,बोया बणायी .
सैरु जीवन यु दोड़नमा गैयी,
ऐ बुडापू मन यु खैणायी .
हे जादु मंतर, मन यु ह्यु चा झर- झर.
तू छै जादु मंतर.....................................


अब बटा काड़ा ,काड़ा छडै जै ,
खैरी  विपदा की धाण निभै जै .
गैयी बसंत डाड़ी सुख गैयी ,
डायी मोयार लेकि ऐजै .
हे जादु मंतर प्राण कनु चा टर-बर.
तू छै जादु मंतर.....................................


मेरू  जीवन यु इनी चलीगैईयी ,
टूटीयु छो बाटू ,टूटीयु ही रायी.
अब सुध ऐ ये बाटा बणाणे,
अब त मेरू वक्त यु गैयी .
हे जादु मंतर ,कुछ त करदी झर -फर.
तू छै जादु मंतर.....................................


जीवन  वेकु तु वेकु चेला ,
आणा-जाणा राला यु मेला .
हे चेला जरा मैतै बिगै दे ,
ख़त्म वेगी क्या मेरू खेला ,
हे जादु मंतर अबत ग्यो मी मर -मर
तू छै जादु मंतर.....................................

स्वार्थ कि रीति मा,राजकि नीति मा।
जनता बिचारी, बलि बेदी चढ़ी।।

ढोल कि पोल खुली कि खुली।
आंखि उघाड़ी तू बी देख भुली।।

भाड़ मा जाये जनता फनता।
मुराद हो पूरी यूँका मन की।।

 अफु पेट भर्री गळदम सळदम।
भूख मिटे न मिटे जन की।

विकास-विकास की बड़ी बात करीं।
आंख्युं देखि सब नाश करीं।।

काम कबी क्वी करीं न करीं।
खीसौं माँ राशि धरीं ही धरीं।।

चांठों अर चेलों की,कैम्प अर मेलों की।
देखो जख बी भरमार पड़ी।

 मिले न मिले सुविधा कबी क्वी।
 रैगे जनता फिर हाथ ज्वड़ी।

आंख्युं कु खैड़ सी बाखरो बैड़ सी।
रिपु ह्वैगे तुम्हारो,पाणि मा गैड़ सी।।

लागद शूल सी तुम्हारी जिकुड़ी।
जैन नि करी तुम्हारा मन की।।

माल़ा हो गालुंद ट्वपलि हो डालुंद।
तुमारा तरपां देश जाव भ्यालुंद।।

Pardeep Singh Rawat मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ ।
 
 मै उसकी बिषम प्रस्थिति से लड़ न सका,
 मै उसकी कठोर मेहनत कश ज़िन्दगी में ढ़ल न सका।
 मुझे जो आसान रास्ता दिखा मैंने उसी की चुनोतियों को स्वीकार किया,
 मैंने उस पहाड़ से ज्यादा अपनी और अपनों की लाइफ को प्यार किया।
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ ।
 
 मैंने एक बार भी नहीं सोचा,
 मै पहाड़ के हित के लिए लड़ता तो मेरी आने वाली पीढियाँ न होंगी बेमुख,
 उनकी राह के काँटों को मै चुन लेता तो कभी नहीं मिलता उन्हें कोई दुःख।
 पर मैंने इस पहाड़ के हाल को कुछ सत्ता लोभी नेताओं के हवाले छोड़ दिया,
 चल उठा मै थैला लेकर शहर की ओर अपनी जिम्मेदारी से मुख मोड़ दिया।
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ ।
 
 मैंने कभी वहाँ के संसाधनों का उपयोग करने का प्रयाश नहीं किया,
 मैंने कभी वहाँ के भटके युवाओं को सही मार्ग दर्शन नहीं दिया।
 मैंने अपनी ही पीड़ा को पहाड़ में सर्वपल्ली माना,
 कभी वहाँ की माँ बेटियों के दुःख को नहीं पहचाना।
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ।
 
 क्या हुआ अगर मेरे सपने रह गए अधूरे,
 मेरे आने वाले दोस्तों के सपने तो होते पूरे।
 मुझे वहाँ के बिकास के लिए अपनी जवानी खपानी चाहिए थी,
 वहाँ के लोगो में अपने अधिकारों के प्रति एक क्रांति जगानी चाहिए थी।
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ।
 
 माना की नियम परिवर्तन इस संसार का है,
 लेकिन ऐसे परिवर्तन का क्या जिसमे अपनों और अपनी पितृ भूमि का प्यार न है।
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक भागा हुआ सिपाई हूँ,
 मै उस पहाड़ का एक हारा हुआ सिपाई हूँ।

                Satire in Garhwali Poems by Sandeep Rawat

                    Sandeep Rawat is critics and poet of modern Garhwali literature.
Recently, Sandeep published his first Garhwali poetry collection ‘Ek Lapang’.
There are many satirical poems as Ultant, Vyvstha, Bhrastachar, Kab Ali bari , Ajkayalai halat,Ucchedi Bathaun, Kuttak, Cunau, Teen Bhai, March Fainal and many more in the collection.
 From the striking the culprit point of view, the Satirical Poems by Sandeep Rawat are sharp, middle and mild. 
 Sandeep is worried about the wrong happenings in the society as he dpicts that leech like worms are now stronger and are sucking the resources.

Sandeep Rawat tactically uses animals as human beings for showing worsening India and is good example of personification in satirical poems.

कुकुर लग्यां छन पत्यला चटण पर
बिरळा  मिस्या छन थाळी   

अजक्यालै हालत
गळसट्या , गलादर अर चकडैत
आज संड मुसंड बण्या छन   
The poet uses symbols successfully for creating  desired images.
उछेदी बथों
मनखी आज उडणा छन
मनख्यात रखीं च ढुंगा मा
Most of Indians are aware that the government agencies do not spend money on developmental works till February but due to fear of not getting budget for next year, the government officials spend money on non developmental works to show the uses of budget.

Sandeep Rawat has been successful in ridiculing the wrongs.
 The poet is successful in showing the differences between incorrect and right through his satirical verses.
In his satirical poems, Rawat shows his concern for justice, morality and virtue.

जौंकि चलि नी दिल्लि मा छंट्याँ महाचकड़ैत।
बणगिन पंच पर्वाण इख , करण लग्याँ पंचैत ।1।

बीं से बि कम बोल्दन छोरा विदेसू भेज्यांन।
वो भाषा साहित्य का यख छन पंच परवाण । 2 ।

घौरम भ्यू करदन बड़ो भाषा से बिखळाण ।
सभा मिटिंगु मा छन बण्या , भाषा का विद्वान ।3 ।

छुमा स्याळि  छ्वीं करद वो बल कवि ह्वे ग्यायि ।
जो कवि छौ वो  देखि की आंसु फुंजद रै ग्यायि। 4 ।

कविता जब जब भी बणद कै चारण कू गीत ।
चरणवन्दना मा लिख्युं वो साहित्य त नि हूंद ।5 ।

सच तैं दबै नि सकुद क्वी करल्यो कतग प्रयास।
बिना ढुंड्याँ चुप रैंदु नी , सूण बेटा इतिहास। 6 ।

यां से बडु परमाण क्या कलयुग ऐगे घोर ।
कवियों प्रमुख बण्यु हैंकै कविता कु चोर । 7 ।

थुपड़ा लगै की मीलि गिन वै इनाम खिताब ।
पर समाज से मन को रैगे केवल ख्वाब । 8 ।

Harsha Puri was born in 1820 and was the chief priest (Mahant) of Kinkleshwar temple Shrinagar Garhwal

Mahant Harsha Puri created poetry in Garhwali and published them in Garhwali, a monthly magazine.

He was also the poet of Braj Bhasha and Khadi boli. This is the reason his Garhwali and the subject is influenced by Braj language and its spiritualism. His poems are with full of tenderness and melody. Social awareness orientation, Inspirational or idealistic subjects is the specialty.
Mahant Harsha Puri expired in 1905.
                   राजनीति
कवि : हर्ष पुरी गुसाईं (1820 -1905 )
राजाऊँ कु राज काज , जनु बगवानि साज
फूलुं का बगीचा मांज , बाड़ बाँधी चाहेंद। 
नानाऊं की गौर कद , ठुलाऊं मौळाइ देंद
छांटि छूंटि चुंगी लेंद , घणोप उपाडेंद।
तांकि कद गेड़ गांठ खाणों लाणो राज फांट
जड़ान उपाड़िक क्या ? येकि बेरी खायेंद। 
परजा कू पीड़ा दीक , बेकसूरों डांड लेक
चाहे कै कि मऊ बीक , अपजस पायेंद     

The above poem is about the important task of government (king is to serve the society.
The king is as gardener who looks after garden
The poem clearly states that when the king punishes innocent the king gets defame.

Lord Ripen: The First Authentic Modern Garhwali Poetry

          Critical History of Garhwali Poetry –Part 2

                  Garhwali Poetry from 1750-1846

                  Initial Developing Phase of Modern Garhwali Poetry (-1900)

 
               The Garhwali Poetry critics divided modern Garhwali poetry development into stages. The first stage is called Pratham uttahn as –to 1925.
          Harshpuri Gusain, Lila Datt Kotnala and Hari Krishn Dorgaditi Rudola are said to be first three modern Garhwali poets those initiated modern Garhwali poetries.
     The poetry manuscript by Harsh Gusain (1820-1905) was started by him on 48 (as written on his manuscript 48). 48 means Sanvat 49Jeth and that means he wrote poetries from 1892.
  Lila datt Kotnala was contemporary of Hindi literature creative Harish Chandra. Kotnala’s Hindi poetries used to be published in ‘Kavi vachan Sudha’ edited by Harish Chandra.
         Lila Datt Kotnala wrote poem ‘Lord Ripen’ paying respect to Viceroy Lord Ripen as Bhartendu Harishchandra wrote poem Ripnashtak’ supporting the reform policies of Lord Ripon. Lord Ripon was Indian viceroy from 1881-1884. That means the Garhwali poem ‘Lord Ripen’ was written before 1884. The logical analysis sate that ‘Lord Ripen’ is first authentic Modern Garhwali poetry.

                  Lila Datt Kotnala wrote (1846-1926) Virah, holi and Usha Anirudh Vivah Garhwali poems. His Garhwali poetry collection book ‘Garhwali Chandmala’ in 1918 AD.

धर्म्युं धरम बौगिन खबिन
कतनै विद्वान्।/किलै चाणा छन जोग लेणु ?

हे ईश्वर !
तुम जणदै छौं कि  तब
रावण लंका बटि
कंस मथुरा बटि
(कु ) शासन चलान्दा छा
पण अब त
अयोध्या -गोकुल की धरती ही
रावण -  कंसुं से भरीं च
अब त प्रभु

Ker: Garhwali Poems/ Modern Songs Showing Contemporary Garhwal

(Review of Garhwali Poetry Collection -Ker of Darshan Singh Bisht)

             Separate state Uttarakhand movement gave us many poets as Darshan Singh Bisht .Darhsan Singh Bisht (Sukhraun, Pauri Garhwal, 1960) is called an important signature in contemporary Garhwali poetic world and his poetry collection ‘Ker’ tells the reasons for calling Darshan Bisht as shining star of Garhwali literature.
There are one hundred thirty one poems in Ker and each poem tells different situation in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Being in Garhwal, all his poems are the real experiences of Darshan Singh Bisht. Even when Darshan wishes a happy a new year greeting through his first poem of Ker , the readers feel a pinch of some unwanted happening there in rural Uttarakhand :
Nayai vars ki shubh kamna
Jayan byali, ayan bhol khun ….
Chhuma bau ki galyun khun …..
Pooch madkan wali byaryun khun
Today, common men perceive that politics is sinful deeds and the poet Bisht cautions the women of Garhwal not to be even Pardhani (head of Village Council)
Ja beti! Kalpana Chavla Bani, Bachhendri pal Bani,
Kiran Bedi Bani ..
………
Jogan bani jai par pardhani ni bani
The poet is capable of showing the psychology of the common men in his each poem . In his poem ‘Dosh Kaiku, the poet narrates the situation of passing the bucks on others very effectively.
Ker is is his long poem ,wherein , the poet shows us the differences of past and diminishing cultural and social values in the present societies. The poet also cautions the human society to be in limit (ker) to protect our earth.
Darshan Singh Bisht did not leave any important subject in his poems such as diminishing human values , corruption at lowest level in the state administration and in society too, the burning issue of increase in alcohol consumption in rural Garhwal, putrefying effect of castes in the society, discriminating aspects between male and female child, education system etc.
The poet is worried about new social, political and cultural changes happening because of speedy migration from Garhwal, Uttarakhand
Ju bayli tak chha syal
Wee khaunbagh bangeni
Ham towhee gewaan bideshi
Ikh dutyal panseni
The readers feel smidgen by knowing the new conditions of diminishing values in each part of our life.
The poet is of new gene and all his poems are prose like poems Gadyatmak Shaili) but all poems are having poetic touch or lyrical touch.
       The poems of Ker show that poet is full of vocabulary and knows how to use each word effectively. The poet uses pure garhwali words and it is evident that Darshan Singh Bisht does not care for so called standard Garhwali and uses Salani dialects everywhere.
      When most of us are worried that Garhwali language may diminish within fifty seventy years, the poems of Darshan Singh Bisht assure us that Garhwal has rich culture and love for the language that new generation will definitely take care in protecting the language .

दाळ -भात सबि धाणि स्टाफ का वास्ता। 
मैडम दाळ फरै कनीं
हेल्त बणाणा टरै कनीं
ढीस फर हेडसाब भात खरोळणान
सिगरैटी गुल बि तखिम ढोळणान। 
बच्चों की टक कीचन फर
खड़ा कंदूड़ प्रेसर कुकरै सीटी फर
दिमाक फ्री सूण यार बंटी
किलै नि बजणि होलि घंटी। 
हाफ टैम म फुल्ल खाणु
पढै हो कि नि हो खिचड़ि खाणौ जरुर औणु
अबतs सरकारन हत्ताबन्धि बि कर्यालि
नौनु घिराणै बि जरुरत नी , अफ्फी घिरालि
सुपर फैन  चौंळ सुपर मैनो खुणि
म्वाटा  अर सड्याँ  नौना नौन्युं खुणि
हमारा नौन्याळ भतखव्वा गिजैयली
मुसलिंड मिल्यां भात खलै
वूंका पुटग उठापटक करयली।

तुमारि आंखि बुजी जयां
अर तुम
खटुलिम बटि भयां नि अयाँ
मि थैं
छक्वै पिन्सन खलाणा रयां
पर भारे
मि जै ख्वाळा जौंलू
मीखुण कुछ नि ब्वल्यां
