Temple   dedicated to Lord Kartikeya, the elder son of Shiv & Parvati.  It   is the lone temple in the north India.  There is a mention of this place   in the Kedarkhand that when attrocities of Tarakasur were at peak,   Kartikeya led the forces of Devatas and killed Tarkasur at Kronj Parvat.    This place is known as Kartik Swami ka Danda (i.e. peak of Kartik   Swami).  Situated at an altitude of around 2800 mtrs.  From this point   one can have the view of the mighty Himalayas at 180 degrees. Very quite   and finest place to visit. Only 3 kms to trek from Kanak Chouri and   about 38 kms from Rudraprayag on Rudraprayag-Pokhri Road.
