Get Together of Uttarakhand Sanskritik Parishat (R), Bangalore - 17th of Jan 2010

I would also like to take this opportunity to invite you all to a get together organised by the "Uttarakhand Sanskritik Parishad (Regd), Bangalore" on the 17th of January 2010 (Sunday) at the Shiv Temple in Thanisandra which is around 1.5 kms from the ring road (Tannery Road Junction / Immediate left after Manyata Tech Park).

To give you a brief background on the USP (R) -

Uttarakhand Sanskritik Parishad was formed in early 80's by a small group of peoples who had migrated to Bangalore.
This was followed by meetings and get-together and slowly the group expanded
Every year there were new members joining in and the USP has grown big enough
In the mid 80's a majority of the USP members came together and formed a colony near Sultan Palya which is presently known as Pioneer Defence Colony wherein the maximum number of residents are from Uttaranchal.
Subsequently in the early 90's another colony was formed at the Vidyasagar gram near Thanisnadra. Quite a few members who had bought sites are also residing outside Bangalore.
In the same colony USP has also constructed a Shiv Temple and since then the get-together is organised at the Shiv Temple on a yearly basis followed by lunch. Apart from the annual get together even pooja is organised for Shivratri, Holi and other festivals.

I request you all to be a part of this forthcoming event and also please invite your friends and near & dear ones.
