We are sharing here information about a religious places which has relevance with Mahabharat Pandavas. This place is known as Padhusthal Dwar.

"जखेड़ा"-(पाण्डुस्थल का द्वार) .जी हाँ ये जगह "जखेड़ा" उत्तराखंड के बागेश्वर में बैजनाथ
से 20 KM की दूरी पर है....॥  इसमें जो छोटा सा मंदिर दिख रहा है उसके लेफ्ट साइड के
किनारे से ऊपर की तरफ एक पतली सी पगडंडी जाती है...इसी पगडंडी पर अगर आप 12 km पैदल चले जाएँगे  तो आप बिलकुल हिमालय की तलहटी में पहुंच जाएँगे.और यहीं पर ऊँची पहाड़ी पर आपको एक विशाल मैदान मिलेगा इसी जगह को  "पाण्डुस्थल" कहते हैं....!!
"पाण्डुस्थल" वो जगह है जहां पर महाभारत काल में पांचों  पांडवों ने एक कुत्ते को साथ लेकर अपने जीवन की अन्तिम यात्रा की थी.....इसी लिए इस जगह का नाम "पाण्डुस्थल" पड़ा.........!!
इस जगह के तस्वीर को मैंने आप सभी लोगों को इसलिए share किया था क्योंकि ये "पाण्डुस्थल" जाने का प्रवेश द्वार है.......यहीं तक आप अपनी गाड़ी से आ सकते हैं....
और फिर इससे ऊपर को लेफ्ट साइड की पतली gallery से आपको 12 km चढ़ाई की पैदल यात्रा करनी होगी और आप "पाण्डुस्थल" जगह पर पाहुच जाएँगे.....!!  प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य और एतिहासिक मान्यता की दृष्टी से ये जगह बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण और रोचक है.........!!
लेकिन आज तक किसी भी सरकार या मंत्री ने इस तरफ ध्यान ही नहीं दिया....!!
मेरा मानना है की 1 बार जो इस जगह पर आ जाएगा उसे बार बार यहाँ पर आने का मन करेगा !

Pandusthal - District Bageshwar Uttarakhand

To entire trek parses through dense forest and beautiful lash green meadows in the beginning trekking through the mountains. According to legends, Pandusthal was the Battle ground where Kauravas & Pandavas had fought. There exists a natural ground half a kilometer in breadth. The Himalaya is so near, that one can get a grand and panoramic view of snow clad peaks and hanging glaciers.

Pandusthal can be reached by a 20 km trek from Jakhera, the last motor able point to this place. It is noted for a half-a-km wide ground, which the locals regard as the battleground of a clash between the Pandavas and the Kauravas. One can enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas from here.
