DEHRA DUN: Forest fires have hit the famous Jim Corbett and Rajaji national parks and several other areas of Uttarakhand where eight persons have been arrested on charges of igniting some of them.

With fresh squalls hitting Uttarakhand since last night, the forest department has warned that the fires would rage further.

The forest fires are striking terror in several areas of the Corbett and Rajaji national parks, known for their tiger and elephant population, the forest department here said, adding that several other parts of the state have also been affected.

Though the forest department is claiming that it has controlled the fires in Corbett Park, reports said they were still raging.

However, no loss of life or wildlife has been reported in the fire, said A R Sinha, Chief Conservator and the nodal officer for the fire fighting operations.

Altogether, nearly 1,426 hectares of forests have been affected by the fires which have now become an annual feature.

Of the total 796 fire incidents reported so far, 554 were from the reserved forest land, Sinha said.

He said fire incidents were reported on 75 hectares of forests in Corbett Park while nearly 100 hectares of forest fell prey in Rajaji Park. the forest fire is also raging close to Rudraprayag town in Garhwal region, official sources said.

Forest authorities have blamed local people for igniting the fires and said eight persons have been arrested so far. Besides this, three children from Nainital have also been picked up, said Sinha.

When contacted, Forest Minister Bansi Dhar Bhagat said, "We are closely monitoring the situation."

Har saal ki same kahani hai kabhi kahin to kabhi kahin. I think the people residing there also have to take the responsibility to save the forests.

उत्तराखंड के जंगलों में गर्मी के मौसम में आग लगने की घटनाएँ हमेशा से होती आ रही हैं. लेकिन आज तक इससे बचने का  उपाय नहीं खोजा जा सका है.यह आश्चर्य ही है. संभवतः इसके पीछे अन्य कारणों के अलावा उन असामाजिक शक्तियों का हाथ भी है, जो जंगल से नाजायज फायदा उठाना चाहते हैं. कारण कुछ भी हो अब अलग राज्य बन जाने के बाद उत्तरांचल सरकार ने इस समस्या के समाधान के लिए ठोस कदम उठाने चाहिये.

जंगल मॆं लगी आग से जहां एक ओर तापमान बढ़्ता है, वहीं दूसरी ओर धुंध और वायु प्रदूषण भी बढ़्ता है। जंगलों को आग से बचाने का दायित्व स्थानीय ग्रामवासियों का ही है। जिस भी गांव के जंगल में आग लगे सबसे पहले स्थानीय ग्रामीणों को सरकार को कोसने या वन विभाग को गाली करने से पहले आग बुझाने का प्रयास करना चाहिये। क्योंकि जंगल से सरकार प्रभावित नहीं होगी, वन विभाग प्रभावित नहीं होगा..प्रभावित तो वहीं गांव होगा, जिसमें आग लगी है।

पिनाथ के जंगलों में तीन दिन से धधक रही है आग

कौसानी (बागेश्वर)। वन विभाग की लापरवाही के चलते सोमेश्वर वन रेज के अंतर्गत पिनाथ के जंगल पिछले तीन दिन से आग से धधक रहे है। पच्चीसी व कांटली की महिलाओं ने आग बुझाने का प्रयास किया परंतु वे सफल नहीं हो पाए। ग्रामीणों ने वन रेज अधिकारी को इसकी सूचना देकर आग बुझाने के लिए टीम भेजने की मांग की परंतु टीम नहीं पहुंची।
चौड़ी पत्ती, जड़ी-बूटियों व हिरन, कांकड़ आदि दुर्लभ पशुओं व पक्षियों के लिए जाने वाले पिनाथ के जंगल में पिछले तीन दिन से भीषण आग लगी हुई है जिस कारण कई पौधे, पेड़ व जड़ी-बूटियां नष्ट हो गई है। इसके साथ ही हिरन, काकड़ आदि पशुओं व दुर्लभ पक्षियों के मारे जाने की आशंका है। तीन दिन से आग से धधक रहे जंगलों को बचाने के लिए महिला मंगल दल पच्चीसी व कांटली की महिलाएं वन विभाग के स्थानीय कर्मचारियों के साथ बिना किसी साधन के जंगल गई परंतु आग पर काबू नहीं पाया जा सका। इस पर ग्रामीणों ने वन क्षेत्राधिकारी सोमेश्वर को इसकी सूचना देकर आग पर काबू पाए जाने के लिए टीम भेजने की अपील की। समाचार लिखे जाने तक वहां पर वन विभाग की टीम नहीं पहुंच सकी है तथा जंगल आग से धधक रहे है।

I remeber when i was in my village some people used to lit the fire. They used ot say that during the rainy season the green grass will be better if the fire is put on junglle.

There may be still such kind of peopl who are doing such things. The fire in forest means loss of crores natural treasure and loss to eco system too.

देहरादून। राजाजी राष्ट्रीय पार्क और देहरादून वन प्रभाग में अब तक आग लगने की 65 घटनाएं हो चुकी हैं। इनमें 151 हेक्टेयर से अधिक जंगल क्षेत्र चपेट में आ चुका है। हालांकि बारिश होने के कारण दो दिन से आग की कोई घटना नहीं हुई है। राजाजी पार्क में प्रतिकूल मौसम और पर्यटकों की बढ़ती जा रही आवाजाही के मद्देनजर वनाग्नि नियंत्रण को लेकर अधिकारियों की बैठक बुधवार को होगी, जबकि देहरादून वन प्रभाग में भी बुधवार को अधिकारियों को भूभाग स्थिति की जानकारी के लिए जीपीएस प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा।

राजाजी पार्क के निदेशक जी.एस. पांडेय ने जानकारी दी कि अब तक आग लगने की 25 घटनाएं हो चुकी हैं, जिनमें 90 हेक्टेयर से अधिक जंगल प्रभावित हुआ है। गर्मी बढ़ने से पर्यटन सीजन आरंभ हो जाने के कारण पार्क में आने वालों व पार्क के जंगल के निकट लोगों की आवाजाही बढ़ती जा रही है, जिससे आग लगने और वन्यजीवों दोनों के प्रति खतरा बढ़ गया है। इसी के मद्देनजर बुधवार को पार्क के दोनों वन्यजीव प्रतिपालकों और सभी नौ वन क्षेत्र अधिकारियों की बैठक बुलाई गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि राजाजी पार्क के सभी फील्ड कार्मिकों की छुंट्टी रद कर दी गई है। जंगल की नियमित निगरानी को लेकर पूरी गंभीरता बरती जा रही है। यही वजह है कि हरिद्वार रेंज में मंशा देवी के निकट आग लगा रहे एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भी भेजा गया है। वनाग्नि नियंत्रण के लिए 33 क्रू स्टेशन बनाए गए हैं। देहरादून वन प्रभाग के डीएफओ वी.के. गांगटे ने बताया कि वन प्रभाग में आग लगने की अब तक 40 घटनाओं में 61 हेक्टेयर जंगल प्रभावित हुआ है। दो दिन से आग लगने की कोई घटना नहीं हुई है। इस बार आग ने मार्च महीने में ही दस्तक दे दी थी। बुधवार को ऋषिकेश उप वन प्रभाग के रेंजरों और वन दारोगाओं को जीपीएस प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा, जिससे जंगल के भीतर भूस्थल की वास्तविक स्थिति जानने में उन्हें मदद मिलेगी। मसूरी वन प्रभाग के डीएफओ ए.के. बनर्जी के अनुसार, बारिश हो जाने के कारण तीन दिन से जंगल में आग लगने की घटना की रिपोर्ट दर्ज नहीं हुई है। आग के प्रति गंभीरता बरतते हुए वन प्रभाग मुख्यालय में सुबह व शाम रिपोर्ट देने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।

मैं सोचता हूँ की जनता मै जंगलो के प्रति जागुरुकता होनी भी जरुरी है. कई बार देखा गया है की लोग अपने जरूरत के ज्यादा पेडो को काटते है.
