जिठाणा कु भैसाब , सासू कू मांजी ,
मेरु नौ लेकि , भट्योन्दी छ
अपणा बूबा कु कुजाणी क्या ब्वलदि
पर मेरा बुबा कु पापा बुलणी छ
नँगा मुंड मा पल्लू धनु , धोती पैरण नि  आंदि
टी शर्ट -जींस पैरण मा जरा बि नि   शरमांदी
झुकी सेवा लगौण मा कमर चसक पड़ जांदी ,
गाळी अर गिच्चा चलौण मा द्वी हाथ अगाड़ी जांदी।
बिना सौ सलाह का जब मर्जी मैत भाजी जांदी ,
फिक्वाळ सी घूमघामी , ब्यखुनी हाथ हलकैकी ऐ जांदी
काम काज कनु बुनै लुचड़ी आई हो , टुप से जांदी।
अर  पकायूं खाणू  सबसी पैली खै जांदी
जरा कुछ ब्वलणे त बिना बाजौ का ही नचण बैठी जांदी   
मां -बैणी गाळ घात - देकि धौं धौं कै घिरे जांदी
गाड़-फाळ  , डाळा -फांस जैहर खाण की धमकी तक दे जांदी
कि दहेज़ अर वीं निर्भागी  मैरिज की याद दिलै जांदी।
मिन बोली चूची ब्यो त ब्यौ ही छ 
दुनिया से बाकी बात थ्वड़ी होईं छ
वींन गुर्रौ सी ठप -ठपाक मारी खबरदार ,
ब्यो नी हमारी त लब मैरिज होइँ छ।
 शुभ दिन शुभ घड़ी देखी हाथ जोड़ी बोली मिन
चुची नारी त देवी कु रूप होंदु
वीन जुता की सी ठक्क चोट मारी
हाँ नर  भी त वींकु भगत होंदु।

गढ़वाली  भाषा का व्याकरण - रजनी कुकरेती

बहुत  से लोग निरा अज्ञानता वस कहते हैं कि गढ़वाली में व्याकरण नही है  . उन्हें मैं सूचित कर दूं कि गढ़वाली  व्याकरण की पुस्तकें प्रकाशित हो चुकी हैं।  सर्वप्रथम 1969 में अबोध बन्धु बहुगुणा ने गढ़वाली का व्याकरण की रूप रेखा पुस्तक छापी और दुसरी पुस्तक श्रीमती रजनी कुकरेती ने गढ़वाली  भाषा का व्याकरण पुस्तक प्रकाशित की
      ढ़वाली  भाषा का व्याकरण पुस्तक में निम्न अध्याय हैं और हर अध्याय व्याकरण के मूल विन्दुओं के समझाने में सफल रहे हैं

Rajni Kukreti has been successful in elaborating the subject of verb as verb plays major role in differentiating languages. The book is very significant who know Garhwali but cant speak due to many reasons. Rajni Kukreti has used simple Hindi to make understand readers knowing about disciplines of Garhwali language
The society  should do promotion in Delhi and Mumbai like cities where the book will help those Garhwalis who want to learn Garhwali in spoken and written form.
Language historians will always appreciate Rajni for her industrious job in making the complex and tedious subject as very simple and understandable by her craftsmanship. Dr Achla Nand Jakhmola rightly said , “ This book will be able to initiate thinking, discussions, researches and more writing among Garhwalis”

     Every ‘mend’ or dividing line of farm land was given a separate numbers in ‘Swatantra Bhuvyvstha’ (Dabral).   
 However in Pau settlement and Pau and Ibbotson settlement, the agriculture land was included that had was in a place, had owner and was in a village ‘Tok’.  All farms were measured and map was drawn for all farms in each place. The dividing lines (‘mend’) were shown in map by dots. Each farm (khet) was given a number. Mend (dividing line) were not given numbers. If the barren land between two farms or inside farm was more than 5’ and 2.5”, the barren land was measured and shown in map. If the barren land was within farm, the barren land was shown by dots and barren land between two different farms the barren land was shown by line.
       In Garhwal Bhabhar, the unit of land measurement on map was 16 “for a mile. In hills, the unit for map was 32” for a mile and in some cases it was 64 inch = one mile.
     In Pau settlement, the unit for a Patti was 4 inch for a mile. The agricultural land of each village was shown in map of a Patti. It became easy for comparing agriculture land of all villages (Pau).
   If there was measurement be cadastral measurement, the map also showed the river and barren land between villages.  Pau stated that it was not full proof.

                  Khanapuri or Recording

     Recording on Khasra was conducted along with measurement and was called ‘Khanapuri’ Amins from hills were there in measuring and mapping and recording. However, in many cases, Amins from plans were also employed. Following information were recorded in Khasra of each farm (Rakba or seeds sown in the farm)-

1-Names of owners, Khaykar or Sirtan
2-‘Tok’ Name
3-Serial number of Beckett settlement
4- Sown crops and area of crops in farm
5-Details of irrigated, non irrigated, , abbal, doyam, kateel or ijral land
6- Tax (lagan)
7- Trees on a land
