Uttarkashi

These photos are from the Basic Mountaineering Course (batch BMC-206) at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, from 20th March to 16th April 2009.

The training consisted of three parts - rock craft, snow craft and ice craft. The first was conducted in and around the NIM campus at Uttarkashi, and for the other two we went to the Dokrani Bamak glacier in the Din Gad valley which also lies in the Uttarkashi district.
