I feel people of uttarakhand have been cheated. When the state was confirmed it was assured that after 6 months are one year, the capital will be shifted to Gairsain. Now it is likly to be 10 yrs and there is no talk in political gallery about this crucial issue.

There is another issue also that people of uttarakhand also seems to be divided on this issue.

      Hem Ji... i fin...d   many people specially our new generation, they don't know where is the   garsain even. What if feel that these corrupt politician has been   successful in deviating public attention from this issue. That is why   such mixed views are now coming. Truly speaking many of them don't know   anything about Uttarakhand. If you ask them who is Indra Mani Badoni,   Baba Mohan Uttarahkandi.. Nirmal Pandit etc. Their answer will be "I   dont know".  First they will have to understand the pahad and its   condition.

   Good news.      गैरसैंण मुद्दे पर संघर्ष तेज करेगा महिला मंच     
 
 
नैनीताल। उत्तराखंड महिला मंच की प्रदेश स्तरीय बैठक में गैरसैंण को राजधानी बनाये जाने के लिए संघर्ष तेज करने पर बल दिया गया। इसके अलावा कार्यक्रमों को तय करने को आगामी दस अक्टूबर को ऋषिकेश में संयोजक मंडल की बैठक आहूत करने का भी निर्णय लिया गया। बैठक में इस बात पर बल दिया गया कि राजधानी निर्माण को अब राज्य आंदोलनकारी जुझारू मातृ शक्ति को पुन: मैदान में उतरने की जरूरत है। बैठक में उत्तरकाशी की पुष्पा चौहान व देहरादून की निर्मला बिष्ट ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड में इस समय जहां राजधानी को लेकर सुगबुगाहट शुरू हो गई है ऐसे वक्त में राज्य आंदोलनकारी जुझारू मातृशक्ति को पुन: एकजुट होकर गैरसैंण को राजधानी बनाने की मांग को लेकर मैदान में उतरना होगा। इसके लिए उत्तराखंड महिला मंच महिलाओं को एकजुट कर संघर्ष तेज करेगी।
बैठक में यह तय किया गया कि मंगलवार से राजधानी निर्माण को पोस्टकार्ड अभियान शुरू किया जायेगा। जिसमें ग्राम व ब्लाक स्तर से गैरसैंण को राजधानी बनाये जाने की मांग लिखकर पोस्टकार्ड मुख्यमंत्री को भेजे जायेंगे। इसके अलावा 27 सितम्बर को राजधानी के लिए संघर्षरत संगठनों, बुद्धिजीवियों की विचार गोष्ठी नैनीताल में आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया गया तथा दस अक्टूबर को आगामी रणनीति के लिए ऋषिकेश में बैठक का आयोजन किया जायेगा।
