ASK ANY QUERY ABOUT UK’S TOURIST SPOTS FROM KIRAN RAWAT & PRASHANT JOSHI
==========================================================

Dosto,

It will be an exaggeration if we say Uttarakhand is paradise of earth in many ways. One hand where there are thousands of temples here, which have connection with our epics like Ramayan, Mahabharat, on other hand nature has adorned this land with plenty of beauty. There is long series of Himalays which is covered with snow in 24 x 7.

However, there are various places in Uttarakhand which are still un-connected and un-traceable due to poor tourism plan of State Govt. We have members here like Mr Kiran Rawat Ji, and Prashant Joshi (Almoraboy) who frequently visits such tourist places. They have very rich knowledge about nook and corners of UK’s tourist spots.

If anybody wish to visit any particular place and wants to have the information about the same, he / she can take a help from Kiran Ji and Prashant Joshi from here. You can ask your query under this thread. Both these guys have visited variout tourist spots of both regions of Uttarakhand (Kumoan and Garwals) like Pindari, Darma Valley (Pithoragarh), Auli, Pholo ki Ghati, Kedarnath, Badrinath etc etc.

We are sure that information from these people will you to plan your visit accordingly.

Regards,

M S Mehta

Mehta Ji..............

BEST TIME
The best time is Aug/Sep. At this time you can see maximum varieties of flower. I know this with reference to the locals of Joshimath as in Aug i started of for Malari but I end up by visiting VoF
........ so Aug/ Sep are the best time for VoF.

HOW MANY DAYS
It is not possible to see the whole valley in single day, if possible take atleast 2-3 days & start the track at the earliest so one can reach the corners of VoF

ITINERARY
Dellhi- Joshimath- appx 600 km By bus or cab atleast 20 hrs
Joshimath- Govind Ghat- 35 km- 2 hrs
Govind Ghat- Ghagaria- 13km trek- 10 hrs
Ghagaria- VOF- Ghagaria- 3+as many km u wanna walk+return+3 km- whole day
VoF
Ghagaria- Hemkund Sahib- Ghagaria- 6+6 km- whole day
Ghagaria- Govind Ghat-13km- 6 hrs
Govind Ghat - Joshimath- Dellhi

SAFETY MEASURE
Carry rain coat (rain is unpredicted), medical kit, tourch, dry food, water bottle, good & comfortable shoes,

If possible take a guide (they knows the names of flower -local & scientific & location of flowers) , with the help of guide you will be saving lot of time in searching & discovering flowers....... people try to save money but guides are very informative & incase of emergency they know the terrain

Keep a day for any emergency like landslide

Start the track as early as possible to reach the base location by 1600 hrs
