धारा रोड़ा धारा सुख गिनी जमाना पैली
पर गीतों गंगा की धारा बगीनी
वि पौड़ी बिटि अज्यु बि
तर छप पाणी सी बगाणु गीतों की धारा
वू भागीरथ गित्वु नरु
धन छे तू बि अजीत
जैन सीखे नरु तै गीत संगीत
धारा रोडे वू दूकान बि धन
जख बैठी करदू छौ नरु रियाज
घंटो घंटो रियाज
लुग बोलदन उषासिले मशीनै दुकानी मा
बैठी करदू छो नरु बैठी कही घंटा रियाज
धन छे वू केसव अनुरागी बि
ज्यू रेडियो मा खोजी लै
पहाड़ कु सुर रतन
धन छे नरु खुद बि

रुचिकर , सवादी , मयळि  कविता बाबत वरिष्ठ कवि मदन डुकलाण का दगड़ छ्वीं
भीष्म कुकरेती -मदन जी अजकाल इंटरनेट, फेसबुक , वर्डसप जन माध्यमुँ आण से गढ़वळि कविता मा एक अचानक उछाला ऐ गे। 
मदन डुकलाण - यु भलो चिन्ह छन कि गढवळि साहित्य मा एकदम उमाळ ऐ गे।  ए से बढ़िया सौगात गढवळि साहित्यौ वास्ता हौर क्या ह्वे सकद ?
भी . कु . -पर भौत सा कवि इनि लिखणा छन।
म . डु . -हर फूल  फूलने दो जो फूल गुणशाली ह्वालु   , सुगंधित ह्वालु  , बीजयुक्त ह्वालु  वेकी पूछ होलि। 
भी . कु . -  फिर बि कवियों तैं एक मापदंड तो निभैक कविता गंठ्याण इ चयेंद कि ना ?
म . डु . -इखमा द्वी राय कख छन कि कवि क्वी बि ह्वावो , कवि तैं  कविता कु मापदंड निभैका इ अपण कविता प्रकाशित या पोस्ट करण चयेंद।
भी . कु . -आप गढ़वळि का वरिष्ठ अर प्रसिद्ध कवि छन तो नया कवियों वास्ता कुछ हिदैत चयेँदि।
म . डु . -हिदैत ?
भी . कु . -हाँ कि कविता का मुख्य चरित्र क्या हूंदन ?
म . डु . - भै ! द्याखो भाव तो सास्वत छन।  वो पपीता सभ्यता , सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता  , वेदों का बगत या आज उन्या कि ऊनि छन याने रस अर भाव तो सद्यनि एकी राला तो गात पर ही सबि कवियुं नजर रौंदी।

म . डु . -हाँ जन कि गतौ पैली शर्त च - विषय।  विषय नया नि हो तो अनूठा विषय हूण चयेंद।
भी . कु . -पर मै लगद कि गढ़वळि साहित्य मा विषयुं घोर अकाळ पड्युं च।
म . डु . -इन कनो अभियोग लगौणा छंवां आप ?
भी . कु . -बस पलायन , म्यारो गढ़वाल क्याळा कुळै बगवान याने प्रकृति , संस्कृति विनास अर उजड़दा कूड़ इ मुख्य विषय छन अजकाल कवियों का पास।
म . डु . -हाँ तो बि यूँ विषयुं अंदर तो सैकड़ों नया विषय बि छुप्यां छन , कवियुं तै यूँ विषयुं तै खुज्याण मा मेनत करण आवश्यक च , विषय मा नयापन हो तो कविता अफिक रुचिकर ह्वे जांद।
भी . कु . -फिर ?
म . डु . -यदि विषय पुराणो हो तो गात याने प्रस्तुतिकरण बिलकुल अलग करण  चयेंद।
भी . कु . -मतलब ?
म . डु . -मतलब नया प्रतीकों का प्रयोग से पुराणो विषय पर कविता गंठ्याओ या पुराणो प्रतीकों से बिलकुल नया बिम्ब या भाव पैदा कारो।
भी . कु . -प्रतीक महत्व छन ?
म . डु . -हमेशा से प्रतीक या शब्द ही तो महत्वपूर्ण छन।  द्याखो तुलसीदास जीन बि रामायण रच अर केशव दास जीन किन्तु शब्दों का कारण याने प्रतीकों का कारण तुलसीदास जंग जीति  गेन।
भी . कु . -बिम्ब पर ध्यान ?
म . डु . -हाँ इन प्रतीक प्रयोग करण चयेंदन जु पाठ्कुं जिकुड़ी पर छप से लग जावन याने प्रतीक तै कवि द्वारा प्रस्तावित बिम्ब पैदा करण चयेंद।
भी . कु . -कविता कु साइज कथगा हूण चयेंद ?
म . डु . -कविता जथगा छुटि ह्वावो तथगा इ उचित।  कविता अर गद्य मा साइज को इ त फरक च।  साइज का वजै से इ तो कविता याद रौंद अर गद्य याद नि रौंद।  साइज का वजै से कहावत या पहेली याद रौंदन किन्तु गद्य याद नि रौंद।  कवि तै टेलर मास्टर या कुम्हार की तरां अर साइज स्टाइल पर ध्यान दीण चयेंद।  साइज अर स्टाइल याने आकर व शिल्प ही तो कविता की जान हूंदन।
भी . कु . -अर आखिरी ?
म . डु . -आखरी ना प्रथम कि कवि तै सर्वप्रथम लोककल्याण की भावना से इ कविता गंठ्याण चयेंद।
भी . कु . -और ?
म . डु . -बस आज इथगा इ।  इंटरव्यू बि जथगा छुटु हो उथगा इ प्रभावकारी हूंद।

भीष्म कुकरेती - असवाल जी अचकाल दरेक गढ़वाळि शायर की ख्वाहिश हूंदी बल वा/ वो गज़ल बि ल्याखो।
नेत्र  सिंह असवाल -जी गज़ल इन काव्य च जखमा जज्बातौ अर अल्फाजुं बेहतर टूस च। फिर गज़लौ असर बि जल्दी पड़दो तो कवि बि इन चांदन ग़ज़ल मा बि हथ आजमाइश करे जावो।
भी.  कु. -तो उमदा ग़ज़ल रचणो खातिर क्या मैणु मसाला चयेंद।
ने . सि. अ. - अब यु तो बुलणो जरुरात नी च कि अच्छी ग़ज़ल या शेर का वास्ता विषय काबिल अर नै या विशेष हूणि चयेंद।
भी.  कु. -जी यु त काव्य या साहित्य की ही ना विज्ञापन जन विधा की बि पैली ज़रुरात हूँदि।

ने . सि. अ. -हाँ मीटर की जानकारी हूण इ चयेंद।  शेर की पंक्तियों की लम्बाई का हिसाब से ग़ज़ल की बहर नापे जांद । दरेक ग़ज़ल उन्नीस प्रचलित बहरों मादे क्वी एक बहर हूंदी।
भी.  कु. -बहर कथगा प्रकारै हूँदन ?
ने . सि. अ. -बहर मुख्यतः तीन तरां की होंदन - छुटि बहर , बीचैकि बहर अर लम्बी बहर।

ने . सि. अ. -ग़ज़ल को आखरी पद अवश्य ही चोट करण वाळ हूण इ चयेंद।
भी.  कु. -चोट ?
ने . सि. अ. -हाँ तबि त  राजेन्द्र धस्माना जीन ग़ज़ल तै गंजेळी काव्य नाम दे। 
भी.  कु. -मतलब ?
ने . सि. अ. -चोट याने क्वी बि रस  श्रृंगार , हास्य , करुणा या वीर रस इ किलै नि आखरी पद मा पाठक की जिकुड़ी मा सुरसुरि , कुरकुरी , बरबरि लगण इ चयेंद।
भी.  कु. -और ?
ने . सि. अ. -और ग़ज़लकार तै नज़्म और ग़ज़ल मा फरक पता हूण चयेंद कि ग़ज़ल का विषय एक ह्वे सकद किन्तु हरेक शेर हौर शेर से अलहदा हूण चयेंद।  जब कि नज़्म मा प्रत्येक शेर विषय केंद्रित हूंद अर हरेक शेर हैंको शेर से जुड्युं रौंद।

ने . सि. अ. - अर ग़ज़लकार तै गढ़वाली का उपसर्ग अर प्रत्ययों ख़याल रखण चयेंद कि अनावश्यक रूप से उर्दू या अरबी का इन उपसर्ग य प्रत्यय प्रयोग नि करण चयेंदन जौंक अर्थ पाठ्कुं समज मा नि आवो या जौंक अर्थ का कुनर्थ ह्वे जावो।

                      Om Badhani does not need introduction as he is very famous lyricist, singer and folk playwright in Garhwali cultural field.
           Present Garhwali poetry collection 'Kurmuri' by Om Badhani has varied current subjects, varied moods and varied tones.
               There are seventy lyrical poems and free verses in the present collection by Badhani. In six pages, there are views of eminent personalities and his family members about om Badhani.
              In this collection, there are love poetries, poetries depicting geographical and spiritual images of Garhwal, philosophical aspects, changes happenings in modern Garhwal, changes happening in attitudes of people, geographical changes, current society, shocking the new social wrongs as alcohol.
               Badhani is expert in depicting love in this volume and most of the poetries are of love raptures having various emotions as meeting, separation, humor, rage, envy, sadness etc.
   Badhani depicts Hills with different emotions as-
            ह्यूं हिमालै सि चम्म , सूरज अगासै सि दम्म
                  गढ़ देस मेरु , उत्तराखंड मेरु
The poet illustrates philosophy and spirituality by offering Garhwali symbols and signs.
Many poem s are creating images of hills of Garhwal.
              Poet is very much worried about new wrongs entering into Uttarakhand as alcoholism and also terrorism in India.
                Badhani is successful in creating poems related to patriotism and other relevant subject.
          The learned poet uses old and new symbols for creating desired images. His us of Garhwali proverbs are also perfect.
Badhani also uses new style for depicting old subject and offering freshness to the old subject as in the poetry- Bhena Darji
  Badhani is lyrists and in this volume most of the poetries are lyrics but there are free verses too with lyrical effects.
                 Eminent Hindi poet Leeladhar Jagudi wrote forwarding notes for 'Kurmuri' and rightly appreciates the poet and states that the poems of Badhani has new colors.
Though, the language of poems is influenced by Uttarkashi Garhwali but does not make the poems difficult for other area readers as the approach of poet is towards standard Garhwali.
     The readers definitely will enjoy the freshness in poetries of Badhani.

धन हो जुकरबर्ग तेरि कारिगिरि खुणे,
भै जु तिल यु इनु फेसबुक बणाई ।
सब्भ्युं खुणे यखि कौथीग हयूँ च,
सर्र्या दुन्या अब्त यखि मिसे ग्याई ।।

कैइ सालों बटे मि अपड़ा गौं नि गाई,
पर गौं पहाड़ का दर्शन यखि कै दींदु ।
गौं पहाड़ कि खुद मेरा भि जिकुड़ि मा,
द्वी आखर लेखिकि यखि तसल्लि कै दींदु ।।

अपड़ा पर्र्या सब्भि इखि जुड्यां छिन,
भितरा कु भैरा कु यखि मीलि जांद ।
गुड मॉर्निंग से लेक़े गुड नाईट तक,
अब सब खुणे रोज यखि बुले जांद ।।

सासु बिचारि अमाणि च खटुला मा,
कुछ वींकु फफराट कुछ अपड़ा दुःख मा ।
अर् दूधा कु पतिला स्यु ह्वै चुल्ह जुगता,
ब्वारि त मगन बणींच फेसबुक मा ।।

चालिस साला कि नौं धनि च ऐंजल,
अर् पचासा कु ब्वाडा प्रिन्स लगाणु च ।
अर् नौनु नकलि भेष धरि कि नौनि कु,
कतगै नौनों थैं स्यु टुपला पैराणु च ।।

ब्वै बिचारि कु सोर कुटुंबदरि का पैथर,
अर् कुटुंबदरि इंनि फेसबुक मा मस्त ।
अर् बबा घुस्युं च नौन्यूं का इनबॉक्स मा,

छुंयुँ कि न पूछा खूब छरोलि लगीं चा,

रोज दिल जुड़ना छि, दिल टुटना छि,
अर् न जाने झणि क्या-क्या हूणु च ।
द्वी नौनों कि ब्वै भाज वे फसबुकिया दगड़,

Ek Dabal: A Poetry Collection Perusing Newer Style in Garhwali Poetry

(Garhwali Poetry collection 'Ek Dabal' by Shanti Prakash Jigyasu: A Literary Analysis)

              Garhwali poetry collection ' Ek Dabal ' by Shanti Prakash 'Jigyasu'will always remembered in Garhwali Poetry world for perusing New Style 'Chitga' . Ek Dabal is second Garhwali poetry collection by Shanti Prakash 'Jigyasu'. His first poetry collection is 'As'.
        There are 44 customary poems and 173 smaller poems in the present volume. Among free style smaller version of verses, there are 63 four lines poems, 110 two lines verses. The customary poems are also free verses.
             Chitga means forceful small drops. Chhitga is used always for awakening the person. In Garhwal, smaller poems had a long history perhaps before the Garhwali language took birth . In Garhwali, smallest version is called Bajuband Kavita and those versions are one of the smallest poems among other languages smallest poems. However, in Bajuband the poem should have fixed poetic style but in Chhitga there is no restriction.
From subjects' point of view, Jigyasu deals all common types of subject persist in Garhwal in present volume. The main Subjects of poems are -social changes, racism, relationships, responsibilities, corruption, environment, education, migration, unemployment, spirituality, geographical nature, human psychology and many more burning issues. His love for his mother shows in this present volume.
            His Chhitga are more important to describe as majorly those are satirical and makes naked the wrongs ones in the last line of all Chhitga. The satires of Chhitga are from mildest ones to sharpest ones. Though, the readers always demand for sharpest effects from smaller poems. No doubt, Jigyasu tries his best for offering sharper effects.
      The poet is successful in using various sayings, symbols for getting desired images in the reader's mind.
             The critics will remember the works of Shanti Prakash Jigyasu, in terms of new style, as critics remember Louis Zukofsky,   Jack Kerouac, Ashbery, Lesile Scalapina, Robert Frost, Paul Claudel, Guillaume Apollinaire etc who persuaded new style in their language poetries.

अफु भी खांदू , औरु भी खलौंदो
जु रहंदो कोरू किसान
