  Arjun Singh Gusain had eyes in rural Uttarakhand through his regular visit to rural Uttarakhand, continuous contacts with conscious intellectuals and articles received for Hilans. His editorial 'Uttarakhand me Badlata jeewan drashan": Ek Avlokan' (Hilans, September, 1985) is proof that Gusain was aware about the bad results of immoral cultural changes in Uttarakhand. The editorial is still relevant. Gusain discussed about liquor consumption and gambling practices among youth and utter frustration due to no opportunities for youth in rural Uttarakhand.

                Kusum Nautiyal, Puran Pant and Bhishma Kukreti are remembered in modern Garhwali fiction world for their fresh approach for subject and new tale telling style (Notes of Bahuguna and personal talk of author with Abodh Bandhu Bahuguna).
   Goda (Hilans, August, 1985) is a story of a soldier Ratan Singh a soldier losing his legs. His wife Goda takes the readers in past about agile life of Ratan Singh of last Indian village at China border, Mana. Goda did not feel pain of Ratan Singh losing his legs until she listens the self centered sentence of wife of a military officer. 
    Kusum provide new treatment to Garhwali story telling stylein terms of engaging readers and compelling them to be interested for next happening in the story. Kusum uses Garhwali phrase, symbols as snow, Snow Mountains, Ganga and sarswati rivers and Garhwali folk story for creating images.
  The flow is fast and there is dramatic conflict in the story.
    Kusum has been successful in characterization especially the character of Ratan Singh.  Kusum narrates the feeling of tragedy and sadness of Goda with perfection.

                 अच्काल जै बि टी.वी चैनेल द्याखो उख  खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट पर इ बहस होणि च .

  मीन स्वाच  या घड्याइ कि जणे जावु कि खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट  से क्या क्या क्या फैदा नुकसान ह्व़े सकदन. मि अपण गौं मा घूमु अर मीन पाई -

मीन घुंघरा काकि तै पूछ- ये काकि अब त भारत मा खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट  आणु च त क्या क्या क्या फैदा  नुकसान ह्व़े सकदन?"

" कनो ?यू खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट बि इनी च जन कोयला खदानों आबंटन ?"  घुरा काकि न उल्टा  मै पूछ

मि अग्वाड़ी ग्यौं अर काजल बोडि तै पूछ," बल बोडि अब त  भारत मा खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट आणु च त क्या फायदा नुकसान होलु ?"

काजल बोडि न पूछ, " यू हज्या इख गौं मा आलु कि शहरूं  मा आलु ?"

मीन बताई कि यू इन्वेस्टमेंट या निवेश शहरूं मा इ होलू त काजल बोडि ले सन्यूँ /छन्यूँ ज़िना अटकण बिसे ग्याई . मीन पूछ,"क्या ह्वाई ए बोडि?"

काजल बोडि न ब्वाल," कुछ ना बुबा ! जब बि शहरूं मा कुछ होंद छौ त हमारो गाँ बिटेन जवान अर वूंकी ज्वानि शहरूं जोग ह्व़े जांदी छे अब मै तै पूरो भरवास ह्व़े ग्याई बल   म्यार गोरुन  बि शहरूं जिना भगण . जरा मि ऊं गोरुं तै ग्वाड़ी द्यूं कि शहरूं ज़िना नि भागन. लौड़ अर नाती नतणा त भागि छ्या अब गौड़- कलोड़  इ ये गाँ मा बच्याँ छन ऊँ तै  शहर भगण से त बचौं "

मि रूंदा सूरत से अम्बिका मास्टर जी मा गेऊं अर मीन पूछ," मास्टर जी भारत मा खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट आणु च त क्या फायदा नुकसान होलु ?"

मास्टर जीन पूछ," या नै घटना कख होणि होली?"

मीन बताई ," देहरादून जन शहरूं मा इ भौत बडी तादात मा मौल खुलल अर कख?"

मास्टर जीन मोबाइल फोन उठाई अर फोन पर बुलण लगी गेन," ये परमा ! अरे ओ देहरादून मा क्वी क्या कति मौल खुलण वाळ छन . अरे  देहरादून मा जै जमीन तै मीन नागँवारा समजी छौ ना तु इन कौर वीं इ जमीन क वास्ता म्यार नाम से बयाना-पेशगी देदि. मि अबि इख गाँ बिटेन चलणु छौं अर श्याम दै तलक देहरादून पौंछणु छौं  अब त बड़ा बड़ा शहर ही बसण जोग राला."

मी कुछ दिन पैल रिटायर हुयाँ   हवलदार शेर सिंग भैजी क ड़्यार गेऊं . मीन पूछ, बल भैजी भारत मा खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट आणु च त क्या फायदा नुकसान होलु ?"

शेर  सिंग भैजिन पूछ बल या क्या बीमारी च त मीन शेर सिंग भै तै खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट  क बारा मा बताई.

ऊंन   एक फोन मिलाई अर बुलण बिसेन, " जेठू जी समनैन  ! उ अबि भीसम न बताई बल  शहरूं मा भौत सा मौल खुलण वाळ छन . त मतबल या च कि उख चौकीदारों कि जरूरत पोड़लि . ओ आप बुलणा छया कि क्वी सेक्युरिटि  एजेंसी खुले जाव त इन कारो आप तख  देहरादून मा एक सेक्युरिटि ख्वालो मी इख सौब जमीन जायजाद बेचिक सात आट दिन मा उख देहरादून इ ऐ जांदू. "

मि निरासा मा भौंपालु ल्वार काका  क अणसाळ ज़िना गेऊं .अच्काल जब बिटेन लोगुंन खेती बन्द कार त गौं मा मूस भौत हूण बिसे गेन  त अब भौंपालु काका न मूस फसाणो चुहेदानी   बणाण शुरू करी देन. मीन पूछ," काका भारत मा खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट आणु च त क्या फायदा नुकसान होलु ?"

भौंपालु काकान पूछ," ब्यटा  ! यू क्वी रिजर्वेसन च?"

मीन जब काका तै खुरदरा व्यापार मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट क मतबल बिंगाई त भुंपालू काका न   वैबरी अपणि अणसाळ कि आग बुझाई अर अणसाळ इ तोड़ी द्याई

मेरी समज मा कुछ नि आई त मीन पूछ," ये काका यि क्या तुमन त अपणि अणसाळ इ  तोड़ी दे?"

ल्वार काका न बिंगाई," ब्यटा यांको साफ़ मतबल च कि अब हमर गाऊँ बिटेन सब्यूँन शहर चली जाण अर गाऊंन अब हौरि बि सफाचट खालि ह्व़े जाण त मी बि भोळ शहर जाणु छौं अर उखी चुहेदानी क अणसाळ खोलुद."

मी भोंपालू काका ड़्यार बिटेन  अपण ड़्यार औणु छौ त क्या दिखुद कि रस्ता मा लुखुंदर अर मूस नचणा छ्या अर गाणा गाणा छ्या , " जै हो भरात मा फोरेन इन्वेस्टमेंट की ! अब त गौं मा मनिख राला इ ना . अब त सबि  गावुं मा हम मुसुं  अर लुखुंदरूं को  इ राज होलु."

  The free dictionary defines that extramarital relation is occurring outside marriage. Extramarital affairs or relationship is also called unfaithfulness, infidelity, cheating or adultery.
  A social scientist Ray C. Fair of Yale University describes the key variables of extramarital affairs or relationship as occupation, education, husband's occupation, marital happiness, age, number of years of marriage, children, degree of religiosity, and other circumstances.
    Cathy Meyer  in About.com  and  Gunjan Rastogi  in  onlymyhealth .com  count that the negative effects of extramarital affairs or relationship are a blow to self esteem, broken trust, lost stability, emotional breakdown, hampering social life.
  Dr Deepak Arora posted a mail in whereincity.com (29/4/2009) that there is rise in extramarital affairs or relationship in India.

  Garhwali Satire on extramarital affairs or relationships written by Tribhuwan Uniyal
  Tribhuwan Uniyal is one of the great satirists of Garhwali prose.  Uniyal writes a regular column 'Hello ...Hello...Pradhani Bau' in afornight Garhwali newspaper 'Khabar sar'.
  His two characters Gabru and Bau talks on telephone and talks about current affairs with humor and satirical tone. Uniyal is expert in satirizing the current affairs satirically and humorously.
  In the issue of 1st Aubgust 2012 of 'khabar sar' , Uniyal discusses about the extramarital affairs or relationship of Congress leader Narayan Datt Tiwari. In between Uniyal also brings the news of a government officer Damyanti Rawat.
  Uniyal insults the person as Narayan Datt Tiwari for extramarital affairs or relationship. The satire on extramarital affairs or relationship is marvelous.
Uniyal uses dialogues for Bau in Dhabadi Garhwali (mixed Garhwali with Hindi)

               Kali Prasad Ghildiyal is prominent figure in modern Garhwali story world. Garhwali stories by kali Prasad are published in various magazines.
    Satpoli ka Dak Bangla (Hilans, March 1985) by Ghildiyal is in memoir type technique. The writer visits Satpuli after fifteen years and describes the geographical situation and importance of Satpuli. However, there is a story of two sisters. The story ends by showing rivalry for love (ranger of Dak Bungalow). The story reveals many geographical aspects and images of Satpuli. At the same time the readers become shocked by the fate of love rivalry.   
   The story telling style is simple and story engages the interest of readers till end. The reader is always interested in knowing about the next incident. There are lesser dialogues and the story is in narrative from the writer's point of view. Ghildiyal has been successful in creating images of Satpuli the famous place in Pauri Garhwal. The writer uses Garhwali and Hindi words for flow of story. The story is sad, tragic due to love rivalry.

नौकरी-चाकरी फुंड ही फुंड,

बात विकास की दूर ही दूर,
तुष्टिकरण मा हुयाँ छें चूर.
भ्रष्टाचार मा घुंडा-घुंड,
सत्ता मद मा हुयाँ छें टुन्ड.

हाथी का दांत दिखाणा का,
भितर वल़ा छें खाणा का.
आतंकी घुसेणा झुंडा-झुंड,

चोरों का राज मा डंड ही डंड.
नौकरी-चाकरी फुंड ही फुंड,
लगी भली बि उतणदंड.

बात विकास की दूर ही दूर,
तुष्टिकरण मा हुयाँ छें चूर.
भ्रष्टाचार मा घुंडा-घुंड,
सत्ता मद मा हुयाँ छें टुन्ड.

हाथी का दांत दिखाणा का,
भितर वल़ा छें खाणा का.
आतंकी घुसेणा झुंडा-झुंड,
लड़दा-भिड़दा फ़्वड़दा मुंड.

            Bhishma Kukreti published humorous 'Aiskeemyau Byau' write up in Garh Aina (16/5/1990) under the column 'Inai-Unai'.  The incident is a true incident that famous poet Surendra singh Chauhan or Chinmay Saya came to Mumbai for attending a marriage. He called the marriage of Mumbai as Ice cremyau  Bayu or marriage only for ice cream.  Sayar did not enjoy the marriage style of Mumbai.
   Bhishma Kukreti showed the difference of marriages of rural Garhwal of his childhood and contemporary marriage style in Mumbai. Humorously, Kukreti shows the differences of rural and metro marriages for each activity of marriage. Since, the marriage style in Mumbai is not because the people are happy to adopt that style but circumstances of Mumbai are such that they can't follow the style of rural marriages.

  Dr Mahaveer Gairola is famous for Spiritual communism. He completed his D.Lit in Spritual Communism at the age of 82. Dr Gairola is prominent figure in modern Garhwali story world. He is first novel writer (Pavati) of Garhwali language.
  Har har Gange (Hilans, April, 1985) is one of the finest stories of Dr, Gairola.
              Thaggu pundit is taking bath in Ganges. While taking bath he started staring a girl washing clothes. She saw him staring her with sinful eyes. She spited towards Thaggu. The same girl becomes his daughter in law. Now Thaggu has to take remorse act. He takes decision for remorse.
    The story is interesting and Gairola has been successful in engaging readers. The story investigates the inner voice of a man. The language is Tiryali. (Tihri dialects). There is no dialogue in the story.

यि अखबार वळ बि ना ! अरे हमर देस मा त द्याखो कि हमर इख राजनैतिक सीट कना ऐडजस्ट होन्दन ? यूँ अखबार वळु तै लन्दन का इंजिनियर कि बडै करण मा मजा आन्द पण मजाल च कि हमारा राजनैतिक इंजिनियरूं नया नया ऐडस्टमेंट की  इ लोग बडे कारण धौं! द्याख नी च हमन ? कि कन निशंक जीन अपण सीट ऐडजस्ट कार अर जीति गेन अर जब खंडूरी जीन बि सीट ऐडजस्ट कार त कति भाजापाओं तै या सीट ऐडजस्टमेंट बुरी लग अर ऊन सुरेन्द सिंग नेगी जीक दगड ऐडजस्टमेंट कौरिक  अपणी पार्टी क ऐडस्टमेंट बिगाड़ी  दे  .  हमारा ऐडजस्टमेंट  का यि महान वैज्ञानिक  क्या ब्रिटिश  वैज्ञानिकों से कम छन?

   अब द्याख नी च आपन राज्यसभा मा हमारा नेताओं क ऐडजस्टमेंट एटमी तकनीक जब लोकपाल बिल पर बहस ह्वाई? याँ से बढिया ऐडजस्टमेंट कि मिसाल विज्ञान मा क्या इतिहास मा बि नि मिल्दी.  द्याख नी च आपन कि द्वी विरोधी ध्रुव समणि पर त लड़दा दिखेणा छया पण पैथर यि विरोधी ध्रुव एक हैंक पर चिपक्याँ छ्या. क्या ये  निहुण्या तै हुण्या करण वाळ ऐडजस्टमेंट से बड़ो अर सुविधाजनक ऐडजस्टमेंट क्वी विदेसी वैज्ञानिक कौर सकुद च?

     सी.ए जी. (औडिट )  माने अकाउंटिंग अर अकाउंटिंग माने गणित . गणित मा एक अर एक द्वी हुन्दन पण हमारा कपिल सिब्बल मुनि को  ऐडजस्टमेंट ज्ञान त द्याखो .भारत का ये महान राजनैतिक वैज्ञानिक न  टू जी  अर कोल गेट की सी.ए.जी रिपोर्ट तै इ गलत साबित करी दे . अब जब आप द्वी अर द्वी चार का सिद्धांत तै इ खारिज करी सकदवां त आपसे बड़ो महान वैज्ञानिक क्वि इं दुनिया मा ह्वेई नि सकुद. द्वी अर द्वी माने चार का सिद्धांत तै जु खारिज कारल त वो ऐडजस्टमेंट का महानतम वैज्ञानिक इ होलू. पण मजाल च हमारा भारतीयोंन  ऐडजस्टमेंट का ये महान वैज्ञानिक कपिल सिब्बल मुनि की क्वि प्रसंशा कौरि  ह्वाऊ धौं ? अरे भै द्वी अर द्वी चार का सास्वत सिद्धांत  तै जु फेल करी द्याओ वै तै त भारत रत्न मिलण चएंद पण हम भारतियुं कुणि त  अप ड्यारै कुखड़ी अलुण थिंच्वणि  बरोबर होंद त हमन ऐडजस्टमेंट का महान वैज्ञानिक कपिल सिब्बल मुनि तै भारत रत्न नि दे.

   अब द्याखो ना कोंग्रेस्यूं हिसाब से अपणा भावी प्रधान मंत्री राहुल गांधी जब बि उत्तर परदेस मा जांदा छया त मुलायम सिंग अर मायावती कि पार्टी तै भद्र भाषा मा इ सै पण गाळि  दीन्दा छया आर सैत च अग्वाडि  बि गाळि दयाला पन हमारा भारत मा सीट ऐडजस्टमेंट अन्वेषण त द्याखो दिल्ली मा यि द्वी कौंग्रेस सरकार का डुलेर बण्या छन . अर यू सौब भारत की सीट ऐडजस्टमेंट सिद्धांत मा पारंगता की निशाणि च पण हम ब्रिटिश वैज्ञानिकों बडै  त कौरी पण अपण महान खुजनेरूं की बडै हम से नि ह्व़े.
