There are various tourist places in Uttarakhand which are un-discovered and required to be promoted. In every district of UK, there are various tiny tourist spots in Uttarakhand which are less known to people to due to various seasons.

We would give information about such places of Uttarakhand here. This may even include name of some popular place and some village areas.

Khairna

Khairna is 22 km from 17577.Ranikhet. It is situated on the 17165.Nainital route. This place is famous as a fishing center. Khairna has lush orchards and is also known for its herbal and medicinal plants. The village is set against the beautiful backdrop of the snow capped 46473 Himalayan peaks. Nearby attractions are Naithna Devi Temple, Jaurasi and Dwarahat.
Pant Nagar Airport, Kathgodam railway station and Ram Nagar railway station are convenient access points

Kande

Kande is a small settlement in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is situated at the district border with Bageshwar District. Didihat and Pithoragarh are the nearest major towns. The state highway connecting Gangolihat and Chaukori passes nearby.
Some of the nearby places are Berinag, Thal, Deval, Kalinag and Dharamghar. The Ramganga River, a rain-fed river originating near Gairsain in the Lesser Himalayas, flows close to this village.

Pant Nagar Airport and Tanakpur Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.

Chilla

Chilla is a beautiful place of pristine scenic beauty, situated 16 km from Rishikesh, in Uttaranchal.
The place is famous for the Chilla Wildlife Sanctuary, a part of the Rajaji National Park. The park attracts large number of tourists with its rich bio-diversity and natural splendor. The best time to visit the park is from mid November to mid June.

Chilla is 8 km from Haridwar Junction Railway Station. Jolly Grant Airport is about 38 km away

Kunjapuri

Kunjapuri is a charming picnic spot situated at an altitude of about 1645 m above sea level, in Uttaranchal. The place offers a panoramic view of the mighty Himalayan peaks to the north and Rishikesh, Haridwar and the Doon Valley to the south. Kunjapuri is about 27 km from Rishikesh.
Kunjapuri is believed to be one of the Sidddha Peetams established by Jagadguru Shankaracharya.

Major point of attraction here is an ancient temple dedicated to Kunjapuri Devi, situated on top of the hill. The vibrant annual fair, held on the occasion of Durga Ashtami, is a major draw.

Rishikesh Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Kunjapuri is well linked by road to Rishikesh.

Dhorati

Dhorati, 11 km from the Munsiyari mountains, is one of the beautiful mountainous villages of Uttaranchal. It is at an altitude of 2700 m above sea level and offers a memorable experience. Traditional form of weaving carpets and woolen shawls are some of the main occupations of the villagers. Since the hilly villages lack agricultural land, most of the villagers migrate to other places to earn their living. The mountains of Munsiyari are famous for snow fall.
The capital city of India, Delhi, is 650 km away. The nearest railway station is at Kathgodam. The nearest airport is Naini Saini Airport at Pithoragarh.

Nachani

Nachani is a beautiful village of Munsiyari, 125 km from Pithoragarh and on the way to the town. The village offers delicious food, resting place and cold and hot drinks. It also offers opportunities for those interested in angling and river rafting. The village has a number of attractive waterfalls.
The nearest airport is Naini Saini Airport at Pithoragarh, 129 km and the railhead is at Kathgodam, 261 km away.

Chandi Ghat

Chandi Ghat is situated three kilometers from Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar District. The Ghat lies on the banks of River Ganga. It is believed that Chanda Munda (the army chief of the local demon king, Shumbha Nishumbha) was killed by Goddess Chandi at this place. Hence the name 'Chandi.'
The place offers a panoramic view of Neel Parvat. The region is filled with dense forests. Nildhara River flows close by. Nearby interesting destinations include Maya Devi Temple, Gauri Shankar Temple, Mansa Devi Temple and Bhimgoda Kund.

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport. Haridwar Junction Railway Station is the nearest railway station.

Dhanaulti

Situated on the Mussoorie-Chamba route, Dhanaulti rests in the lap of nature amidst thick forest of Deodar, Rhododendron, and Oak. Its long wooded slopes, relaxed outdoors, cool caressing breeze, and lovely weather makes it a favorite haven for tourists. Hundreds of tourists throng this place every year. Accommodations are available at the Tourist Rest House and Forest Rest House.

Baling is a rustic locality in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. At an altitude of around 10,800 ft above sea level, the mountainous terrain and surrounding areas are noted for their scenic splendor. Baling is about 9 km from Sobla and 3 km from the picturesque hamlet, Nagling.
Nagling Peak is a choice destination to visit. The trek route through Baling takes one to the Darma Pass. Some of the nearby places are Maroha, Sela, Sobala and Sumdum. The Dhauliganga River flows very close to this village.

Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airport. Tanakpur Railway Station serves this area.

Bansbagar

A small settlement, Bansbagar is in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is situated near the trekking route connecting Kalinag and Tejam. The place is encircled by cities and villages such as Nachani, Mahargari, Dhamigaon, Mawani, Girgaon and Arkhet.
Didihat and Dharchula are the nearby major cities. A branch of the Ramganga River, a rain-fed river originating near Gairsain in the Lesser Himalayas, flows close to this village.

Tanakpur Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Pant Nagar Airport serves this area.

Baram

Baram is a beautiful hamlet in Pithoragarh District, Uttaranchal, on the banks of the Goshigad, branch of the Goriganga. The Baram Small Hydel Scheme is located on this river. Positioned between Didihat and Dharchula, the two taluk headquarters, Baram is surrounded by cities and villages such as Chhiplakot, Dhamigaon, Mahargari and Askot. Baram is an excellent retreat, away from the chaos of urban life.
An important fair, Kanar Devi fair, vibrant with the colors of Uttaranchal culture, is celebrated here.

Tanakpur Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest access points. Local buses and tourist vehicles connect Baram to other locations

Bedang, a picturesque village, is located in Darma Valley, 18 km from Dantu Pithoragarh District. It is surrounded by dense forests. It offers an excellent view of the towering peaks of Panchchuli, Chhota Kailash and Darma Valley. Sinla Pass, Dugtu, Madkot, Son, Nagling and Baling are the nearby tourist destinations. Base camps and trekking equipments are arranged here.
The nearest airbase is Pant Nagar Airport. The nearest railheads are Kathgodam Railway Station and Tanakpur Railway Station.

Bon
Bon is a picturesque village situated 3 km from Dantu in Pithoragarh District. It is said to be the most beautiful village in the Darma Valley. Bon offers a panoramic view of the snow-capped Panchchuli Peaks. The village is covered with lush forests of birch, silver fir, deodar, pine and rhododendrons.
Nearby scenic places are Sobla, Dugtun, Malpa, Nagling and Baling. Trekking and base camps are available here.

The nearest airport is Pant Nagar Airport and the nearest railway stations are Kathgodam Railway Station and Tanakpur Railway Station.

Bothi is in Pithoragarh District

A small settlement, Bothi is in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It lies close to Munsiyari and is easily accessible from here.
The nearby places are Darkot, Walthi, Madkot, Bauna and Paton. The River Gori flows very close to this village. Namik, the quaint village famous for the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route, is located close by.

Local bus services connect Bothi with Munsiyari.

Burphu is in Pithoragarh District

A beautiful hamlet, Burphu is in Pithoragarh District of Uttaranchal. It is situated at an altitude of around 20,350 ft above sea level on the banks of the Gori ganga. Prominent attractions in and around Burphu are an artificial forest and the picturesque Gori Ganga valley.
The village commands fascinating views of Nanda Devi Peak, Martoli Peak and Nanda Kot Peak. Some of the nearby tourist attractions are Nanda Devi National Park, Milam and Panchachuli Glacier.

Tanakpur Railway Station and Pant Nagar Airport are the nearest railway station and airport respectively.
