Chandu is a religious and cooperative person in the village. Everybody respects his strong character. However, in moment, he made body relationship with his nephew's wife Bela. Her husband is madman and is perhaps weak male. Bela becomes pregnant and she states that she is more responsible for making bodily relationship than Chandu . Now the village council meeting is scheduled for the judgment. Chandu has two well grown sons and a married daughter. Before village council meet, Chandu escapes from village and choose for exile himself. After thirteen years his friend Bachu finds him in Kanpur and wants to take him to village. Chandu does not return as he wants self punishment for exile.
The story is interesting and Dr.Asha took examples from Ramayana for explaining modern story. The story writer is successful for depicting conflicts and self consciousness. There are conflicts of consciousness of younger generation about knowing their father's sin. Story dialogues are common Garhwali phrase. The initial opening compels readers to finish the story. There is good discussion on sin and virtues

Bhishma Kukreti had been in marketing for many decades. He has good experience about companies advertising for candidates and then interviewers taking interview of applicants. In his satirical article 'Vigyapan ar Interview', Kukreti ridicules the way firms advertise their appointment need and these companies exaggerated employees culture of the firm. Kukreti also mocks the way interviewers take interview.

धृतराष्ट्र - संजय ! जरा दिखदि बल जम्बूद्वीप मा म्यार राजपाठ मा क्या स्तिथि च ? लोग मेरी राजशैली बारा मा क्या क्या बुलणा छन ? मन्त्र्युं बारा माँ लोगु मन मा क्या छवि च ?

संजय - महाराज ! दिख्युं आँख क्या दिखण अर तप्युं घाम क्या तपण ?

धृतराष्ट्र- त्यार मतबल च जु हाल एक साल पैल छौ वो ही हाल होला ?

संजय - हाँ कुरुवंशधिराज ! म्यार ख्याल से त ऊनि स्तिथि इ ह्वेली जु एक साल पैलि छे .

धृतराष्ट्र- में लगणु च जन मानस का मन मा कुछ ना कुछ बदलाव जरूर ह्वे ह्वाला।ज़रा अपण दिव्य दृष्टि से देख त सै !

संजय- ठीक च महाराज ! मि आपक बुल्युं मानिक जम्बूद्वीप की स्थिति दिखुद छौं .पण माराज में तै वरदान च कि मि झूटी अर चापलूसी भर्युं ब्यौरा द्योलू त मेरी दिव्यदृष्टि समाप्त ह्वे जाली अर शीरस्थ पदाधिकारी वी सुणण चांदन जो वूं तै पसंद च वो हि दिखण चांदन जो वूं तै भलो लगद

धृतराष्ट्र- नै नै ! हम उच्च पदासीन सम्राट अन्वेषी (जासूस) रखदा इ इलै छंवा बल जु यथास्थिति बतावन . तू मै अपणी दिव्द्रिष्टि से भारत राष्ट्र राष्ट्र का जनमानस म्यार राज पाठ का बारा मा क्या सुचणा छन की सही जानकारी दे .

संजय- ठीक च चक्रवर्ती सम्राट ! ये मेरी ब्वे !

धृतराष्ट्र- क्या ह्वाई ?

संजय- माराज ! जनमानस का मन मा आपकी छवि मा हौर बि गिरावट आईं च। लोग पोरु साल से जादा थू थू करणा छन .आपकी छवि माँ निरंतर गिरावट आणि च अर निस्संदेह या छवि गिरावट रुकण वाळ नी च .

धृतराष्ट्र- संजय इन क्या बिजोग पोड़ कि मेरी छवि माँ दिनोदिन गिरावट आणि च।

संजय- माराज ! ढोल, दमौ याने की सूचना माध्यमो मा आपका ख़ासम ख़ास मंत्री अलापट्टू राजा क कुकर्मी करतूतों से आपकी ज्वा छवि खराब ह्वे छे वा छवि अबि बि जनमानस का मन मा बसीं च .

धृतराष्ट्र- पण हमन त कुकर्मी अल्लापट्टू राजा तै मंत्री पद से हटाई त दे छौ फिर बि ?

संजय- हाँ माराज ! आपन अल्लापट्टू राजा तै मंत्री पद से हटाये जरूर च पण लोगु दिमाग मा वांकी रैणी अब तलक पड़ी च अर जगा जगा सैकड़ो क्षेत्रीय लोक कथा बणना छन अर यी लोक कथा प्रसिद्ध बि हूँणा छन .

धृतराष्ट्र- संजय अर यांको अलावा ?

संजय- माराज ! असह्य मंहगाई की मार से त आम मनिख इ ना मध्यम धनिक वर्ग बि रोज ह्यळि गडणु च कि हे भगवान या त मंहगाई हटा या धृतराष्ट्र की जगा पांडू तै सम्राट बणा !

धृतराष्ट्र- क्या इथगा सालो मा लोग अबि बि पांडू तै नि बिसरेन ?

संजय - माराज आपका मन्त्र्यु कुकर्मी करतूत अर मंहगाई भूतपूर्व चक्रवर्ती सम्राट पांडू तै नि बिसरण दीन्दन

धृतराष्ट्र- पण मन्त्र्यु न कार क्या च जु जनमानस इथगा रुस्याणि च ?

संजय - क्या नि कार ! जम्बूद्वीप खेल प्रतियोगिता का घपला लोग बिसरि नि छ्या कि खनन मन्त्रीक कुकर्मी करतूत की खबर लोगु तै पता चौल , खनन मन्त्रीक कुकर्मो आग ठंडी नि ह्वे छे कि आपक जंवे जयद्रथ का कुकर्म अग्वाड़ी ऐ गे। न्याय मंत्री पर त डून्ड़ो -काणो लठुल चोरी क अभियोग बि सिद्ध ह्वे ग्यायी .

धृतराष्ट्र- त्यार बुलणो मतबल च कि मेरी छवि भौत इ खराब हुईं च ?

संजय- महाधिराज ! छवि खराब ना छवि रसातल को ढूंगो तौळ चली गे . तुमारी छवि को भतिया भंग हुयुं च .अर सम्राट ! द्वीएक सालम राजकुमार युधिस्ठिर बि बालिग़ ह्वे जालो अर जनि वो मय भाइयोंक हस्तिनापुर आलो त लोगुन दबाब बणाण कि आप राजगद्दी राजकुमार युधिष्ठिर तै सौंपो .

-धृतराष्ट्र- अरे क्वी सेवक च . जाओ दुर्योधन अर शकुनी जी तै चौड़ बुलाओ

सेवक - माराज सूचना भिजे गे . बस राजकुमार दुर्योधन श्री अर मंत्री शकुनी आंदी होला . ल्या सि द्वी ऐ गेन .

शकुनी - चक्रवर्ती सम्राट ! क्या बात ? क्या परेशानी ?

धृतराष्ट्र- स्यु संजय बुलणु च कि मेरि छवि गुदनड , गुज्यर जोग ह्वे ग्याई अर लोग भ्राता पांडू क राज रोज याद करणा छन .

दुर्योधन - मामा श्री इन मा क्या करे जाव?

शकुनी - करण क्या च ! बस लोगु ध्यान कखि हौरि तरफा लिजाओ अर दगड़ मा दूसरी छवि बणाणो सतत प्रयत्न .

धृतराष्ट्र- अबि क्या करण ?

शकुनी- अबि त फटाफट मंत्रिमंडल मा परिवर्तन करवाण जरूरी च .

धृतराष्ट्र- मंत्रिमंडल मा फेरबदल से लाभ ?

शकुनी - मंत्रिमंडल मा फेरबदल से भौत सा लाभ छन . एक त लोगु ध्यान वर्तमान मन्त्र्यु कुकर्मो से इना उना बंटी जालो . फिर हवा फैलावो कि जनमानस को लाभार्थ मंत्रीमंडल माँ परिवर्तन करे ग्याई

धृतराष्ट्र- लोग मानि जाला क्या ?

शकुनी- लोग ढिबर हून्दन . राजा जना चाओ जनता तै ढिबर समजिक हकै सकदु .

धृतराष्ट्र- ठीक च त मेरी छवि सुदारणो वास्ता भोळ इ मंत्रिमंडल मा परिवर्तन करे जाव

शकुनी - अर जनता मा जोर शोर से प्रचार करे जाव कि जनता क भलै बान इ मंत्रिमंडल मा परिवर्तन करे गे। जनता की भलै ह्वाओ या नि ह्वाओ पण जनता तै लगण चयेंद कि परिवर्तन से जनहित ह्वालो .

The Garhwali mini story 'Sadari ar Tihri' by Anjali Nautiyal is very good example of symbolic stories in Garhwali language. She compares the situation of an old aged man and sinking Tihri. The son does not purchase new dressing for his aged father that he might die any day and at the same time he does not repair his decrypting house because very soon the people of Tihri would be displaced.
अब वैका आंख्युं मा टीरी को किचील से भर्युं बस अड्डा रिटण लगे . टूटी फूटीं सड़क्यूँ का गड्ढा अर उजड़ी दुकानि अर टूट्या डेरा . बस तबी वैन चितै कि वैकि सेरी ताकत खतम ह्वेगी . अब ना त वो बाबाजीक सदरी सिले सकदो अर ना कबि अपड़ी उजड़ी छत बणै सकदो .
The story is illustrated very well and in minimum words, the story writer is successful to compare the two tendered situations. Anjali could successfully show the tension, could create atmosphere, and characterization in lowest possible words. The story compels readers to think about the situation of old aged persons who are being ignored for financial reasons.

Tribhuwan Uniyal writes on various subjects in one article of 'Padhani Bau' column a Garhwali satirical column. In the present issue, Uniyal ridicules the politicians who deceived their own party and see that their own party candidates loose the election. The famous satirist Tribhuwan Uniyal attacks on the voters too that they wish to have honest politicians but vote for dishonest politicians.
Uniyal also ridicules the government policies that all government agencies spend major budget in March –the year ending month and do sit for nothing for eleven months.
As usual his way of delivering is fantastic humor. The following lines state that it was great Indian singer Narendra Negi who arranged defeat for his pupil Ghanna Bhai

शकुनी - भणजा! क्या बोलु मि .जीजा श्री अर दीदी श्री देखि नि सकदन त हरेक निर्णय क बान भीष्म श्री, विदुर श्री, क्रिपाचार्य श्री, द्रोणाचार्य श्री आर शिल्पी श्री पर आश्रित रौंदन ब्वालो तो निर्णय लेई नि सकदन .अफु बि घंघतोळ मा रौंदन अर हौरू कुणि बि घंघतोळौ दिवाल सीढ़ी खड़ी कौर दीन्दन घंघतोळौ दिवाल सीढ़ी खड़ी कौर दीन्दन

दुर्योधन - पण उंकी क्या गल्ती ! द्याखो ना ! भीष्म ददा श्री बुलणा छन बल सेवानिवृत सेनापतियो तै मंत्री बणावो, विदुर काका बुल्दन बल केवल विद्वान इ मंत्रीपद जोग हून्दन अर हर समौ अड़ी जान्दन . द्रोणाचार्य श्री को मत च बल मंत्रीपद मा परुशराम जी जन ब्रह्म तेजी अर शस्त्र धारी इ हूण चयेंदन त कृपाचार्य श्री बुल्दन बल पुडक्या बामण अर नेगिचारी (सेवकाई ) का गुण वळ इ मंत्री बणये जाण चयेंदन त शिल्पिराज श्री बुल्दन बल शिल्पकारो तै जादा जगा मिलण चयेंद . कैकि सुणो अर कैकि नि सुणो। एकाक सुणो त हैंको रूसे जांद . सब्युं सुणो त कुछ करे इ नि सक्यांद .

शकुनी - भणजो सुयोधन ! शुक्रनीति ब्वालो या मनुस्मृति ब्वालो दुई बुल्दा बि छन बल जब राजा अंधा ह्वाओ या सूचना लीण -दीण मा हीण ह्वाओ या राजा मा क्वी बि कमजोरी ह्वाओ त मंत्री या सलाहकार अपण अपण समुदाय, अपण अपण मुन्डीत बणाण बिसे जान्दन अर दिखणो त एकी राजा दिख्यांद पण असल मा भौत सा लोग अलग लग ढंग से राज चलांदन , यि लोग राजभोग करदन अर राजा बिचारो गाळी खाणो रौंद। खावन प्यावन हौरुक अर मार खावन गौरुक .

दुर्योधन - ममा श्री ! पण अब मंत्रीमंडल परिवर्तन टळण माने हस्तिनापुर पर मुसीबत लाण।

शकुनी - अच्छा त तेरी सूची तैयार च ? कि कै कै तै मंत्रीपद दीण

दुर्योधन- हाँ

शकुनी - त तुमारी पड़ ददी माता सत्यवती क टुटब्याग अपणाण पोड़ल।

दुर्योधन - यु क्या च ?

शकुनी - माता सत्यवती बड़ी चतुर विदुषी महिला छे . वो सौब काम अपणी मर्जी से करदी छे पण लोगु तै लगदो छौ कि वो सौब लोगु तै पूछी जाचिक काम करदी . गणतंत्री अधिनायकवाद की सबसे बड़ी धड्वे छे माता सत्यवती .

दुर्योधन - या बात मेरी समज से भैर च कि माता सत्यवती गणतंत्री अधिनायकवाद की पुजारिन छे . गण तन्त्र अर अधिनायकवाद त आपस मा मीलि नि सकदन फिर ?

शकुनी - देख भाणजो ! माता सत्यवती न पूछ सब्युं तै च कि कुरु बंश चलाणों बान अम्बा , अम्बालिका क दगड़ निसर्ग योग विधि द्वारा पुत्र उत्पादन करे जाण चयेंद .

दुर्योधन - हाँ , बुबा श्री , पांडू श्री आर विदुर काका निसर्ग योग से इ पैदा हुयाँ छन .दादी सत्यवती न भीष्म ददा जीक अर मंत्रीमंडल की पूरी सहमति लेकी यु निर्णय ल्याई .

शकुनी - माता सत्यवती क विद्वता दिखण लैक च सिखण लैक च।

दुर्योधन - मामा श्री ! इखमा चतुराई क्या च ?

शकुनी - अछा ! जरा बतादी कि निसर्ग योग का वास्ता कै तै बलाए गे छौ ?

दुर्योधन- मुनि व्यास तै

शकुनी - मतबल खून या वीर्य को हिसाब से तुम असल मा कै बि रूप मा कुरु बंश या शातुनु बंशी नि छंवा

दुर्योधन - हाँ पण यो त सब्युं सहमति अर सलाह से ह्वे छौ

शकुनी - हाँ इखम सत प्रतिसत गणतांत्रिक पद्धति दिख्याणि च . दादा भीष्म अर सबि बुजर्गो न सलाह बि दे अर सहमति बि जताई कि निसर्ग योग से कुरु बंश की रक्षा करे जावो

The Garhwali short story 'Ghutu ki Bwe' by Parma Nand Balodi is a mixture of realistic and at the end highly dramatic and straitlaced, moralistic didactic events.
Ghutu lives in Delhi for his earning. His mother and wife live in village. However, his old aged mother and his wife do not see eye to eye each other. There is always high drama when both quarrel. Ghutu come to village and watch behavior of his mother and wife. He takes decision to bury his mother alive in forest. He takes action but a shocking event happens and Ghutu is changed man.
The opening is arresting to readers, the plot is realistic, the events and dialogues and phrases are from the real life in the said story. The end is unexpected but catches the reader's interest in the story.

Satirist Bhishma Kukreti slams politicians specially Devi Lal who openly was accused for his highly intolerant, bigoted, prejudiced, fanatical, narrow-minded, small-minded towards media, newspapers those criticized them (politicians).In his satirical article, wit creator Bhishma Kukreti slams, bangs, criticizes, condemns, or disparages the politicians those support media freedom but in reality are intolerant to media those criticize them. Kukreti also criticizes the monopolistic mentality of politicians as Devi Lal, Karuna Nidhi, N.T.Rama Rao, M.G. The modern Garhwali short story 'Bahadur Sipai ' by Dr Asha Rawat is about discussion on the role of armed forces and the rural women force those are engaged in house hold works, agriculture works and following social responsibilities as taking care of in laws, children etc. Naresh is an army man and fights the enemies in recent battle. When he comes the villagers call him Brave soldier but he states that his wife is real brave soldier.
The story takes the readers to battle field where soldiers fight for their countries without caring for their lives. The story writer also takes the readers to agro fields where women force act as soldiers. The narration is in dialogues form and ends in dialogues. The story depicts the life of a soldier and the life of his family in village.

अब जब मि जाणी इ ग्यों कि असल मा सरकार कु चलान्दो त मि बगैर सुकेश जंबानी से बात कर्युं ऐ ग्यों .
